Ram 1500 rear springs to keep the rake and be able to load and tow without it squatting.

Is the ride pretty rough? I’d imagine the Ram springs are a lot stiffer. Smart of you to try them, they supposedly share a lot of the rear suspension, right?

They were recommended as a strategic part of the build, because of my requirement to not sag when towing and/or hauling. They’re not on yet. They didn’t make it on the pallet in time, so I temporarily have the rear JKS springs. I’m sure the rear will be a bit stiffer, but I’m ok with that. I need and want to retain the rake so my truck is level when loaded. But I plan to report back with the results so others can know whether this worked well.

It makes sense they'd work... Maybe they won't be too stiff with a constant load (bed rack, etc). I mean 1/2 tons are tuned more for comfort than straight up payload nowadays

That’s what I’m hoping. If I hate them, it’s only two springs. I’ll try something else.

They’re specifically chosen to work well with the 3-3.5” JKS lift as heavier duty rears.

Wow. Very cool. And without beadlocks. Nice. I never had my 33’s under 15psi. These are so new I haven’t aired them down yet. I’m not sure I’ll go that low in my rubicon wheels though.

The Teraflex nomads have a bead grip style like the method wheels do… so you can go to a lower pressure than a normal wheels but not as low as a true beadlock.

In the snow on my JKUR I ran 35s down to 8psi on Quadratec Hard Rocks.

Up here it seems like a OEM wheel with 12.5" tires stay well on the wheel. We had a guy blow a bead at 5psi with the OEM wheel and OEM tires. At that low of pressure, I worry oddly more about spinning the tire on the wheel then de-beading it on a non-bead lock wheel. It always seemed like the tires needed balancing again on other wheels after wheeling at super low tire pressures. Thus far, the Nomads have not shown that tendency and I plan on keeping them a while.

Reporting back. The Ram 1500 rear spring mod and clayton rear track bar are on. It rides really great. The rake is amazing and seriously helps for steep climbs and departure angle. Not stiff. Rides better than stock. And I still have enough flex to stuff them into the rear fenders, but without touching. It’s fantastic. I’d recommend it all day. I need to take a better side picture, but here it is in action.
