If that's your main reason - then so is jscan.
Although, that option appears to have got a lot more expensive recently. It looks like there are only 2 OBD scanners Jscan recommends for a JT. The one they prefer (which is also the only one AlphaOBD recommends for the JT that is currently in production) is the OBDLink MX+. I swear when I looked a few months ago it was like $75, but currently it's $140. Then $25 for the adapter, plus the software itself, and you're in the same price range as the Tazer Lite. Jscan also recommends a second module that appears multiple times on Amazon for $50-$60, but truthfully, I suspect all of them are counterfeits judging by the low number of reviews. I think the OBDLink MX+ is the only surefire option for the scanner module.

Does it do the same thing even while the tazer is unmarried? Or only once you married it again? I'd definitely start with updating the tazer, though
Yup, thats the part that has me freaked out.

Unmarrying is supposed to return the vehicle to stock, and it is not doing that.

Unmarry, full reboot, multiple sleep cycles, vehicle still boots to audio screen with a bunch of x`s on it - This creates multiple concerns. One being that the unmarry function is not restoring the vehicle as intended. Then theres the obvious, I cant bring it to the dealer like this without them being like "Wtf is going on with your firmware?" and there goes my warranty.

Ready to return this thing and pursue other options, but now I have to fix my trucks firmware first.

Texted them this morning since I didnt receive a response to my email, they said thats weird and they will reach out to their engineers...

Pull power from both batteries for like 15 minutes. See what happens.

As an aside, you can set the speedometer to be the smaller number top center in the display.

Then you can use the larger display for something else.

Im an idiot. I pulled the ground from the main battery for ~45 minutes yesterday, but totally forgot about the aux battery. Will try this evening with both, worth a shot.

Didnt get around to trying the batteries last night, but since I had the Tazer unmarried I went ahead and updated it to 11.3.4 (It was on 11.3.2) and then re-married. Didnt seem to change anything, at least not the dash issues Im having. Havent received a followup from Tazer customer service with direction.

Hoping to have some time to really focus on this and play out some different ideas this weekend. Works been busy, youngster has a birthday coming up, etc.

Not really having any luck with this, have been fiddling with the software and batteries and resets... nothing. Contact with customer service was poor, took a long time to get reponses via text and whoever I was talking to didnt seem very knowledgeable - and seemed confused. At this point, theyre blaming it on my Insane Audio stereo (even though issues didnt present until the Tazer was introduced to the system). I just played dumb with them and let it go, its obvious theyre not going to be of any use.

Ive also found that my MPG screen on the dash is totally out of whack, so thats fun.

This thing screwed up my firmware and I cant get it back to normal, and their customer service is a joke. Not sure what else I can do but live with it at this point.

I gave up and my solution has thus far worked for me. I first programmed the wheel size and gear ratio, and Psi warning using the married Tazer. I did a full reboot and several sleeps by shutting down and opening a door. I then disconnected the Tazer, and reconnected the obd2 bypass connections. I drove around at reasonable speeds to make sure there were no gearing issues that would put it into limp mode. My Tazer is now happily in the glove box in a time out. No more light malfunctions, no more weird brake issues, nothing. Just a Jeep with stock settings, except for the three vehicle settings I changed before removal.

This is cute - I filled the tank a few days ago and have done maybe 100 miles since, trip counter shows I've done over 7000.. thank God the odometer isn't completely broken too, that seems to be staying accurate.

Wow. I truly hate that I even need a programmer. Thankfully we can just use it for vehicle settings and skip the rest. Have you tried unhooking it, but leaving it married?

Agreed. Shouldn't have to waste money and stress on this janky aftermarket stuff to change basic settings.

After multiple "unmarry"s failed to remove the quirks that were created by marrying the tazer initially, I just said screw it and left it married so I could have the tire size set and speedo calibrated - no value in not having those dialed in if I'm going to have these quirks anyways.

As you said though, married, changed settings, sleep cycles etc, then plugged the factory module back in and stored the tazer.

Edit: Probably going to swing by the local jeep shop I purchased the Tazer from and ask them to take a look at it, see if they got any ideas. Need to bug them about regearing anyways.

Really sorry. I hate these programmers. I heard all the venting from others, but needed to program for gearing and tire size.

What if you unmarry it, then reset the vehicle to factory defaults, then remarry it just for the couple of needed settings? Just a thought. If it works, you could then unplug and store it.
