Hey guys! I thought I’d start a thread on different AlfaOBD settings. I am no expert so if someone knows better than me please feel free to post and let everyone know the right way ? I’m just figuring out as I go, mostly through Ram forums or youtube vids… As you find things it would be awesome to add them here!
I’m not going to go over the details of what to order and all that because if you are here you probably already have your security cable, OBD bluetooth, the app, and are ready to go… but I’ll reserve this space if this thread gets some traction and it needs to be added ?I’m just too lazy right now
Of course the super basics of connections probably doesn’t need a lot of detail too (connect security cable to security ports then your OBD Bluetooth device, connect your phone to the OBD Bluetooth, select your “My car”, but let me know, I’d rather edit than type it all out now…
I will say that the ignition needs to be in Run but not started
Anyways here we go
Change wheel size
Function: Body Computer
Control Unit: Body Computer My2020-21 PowerNet
Connect
Hood open icon @ bottom
Procedure: Program tire size
I would suggest manually entering circumference in mm
START
After it is successful turn the Jeep off and back on (I usually wait 30 second and open the door)
Now you will need to fix ABS issues (or maybe not see @ShadowsPapa comment below)
Go back to the main screen and change the Function to ABS
Control Unit: ABS Bosch My2019+ PowerNet
Connect
Hood open icon @ bottom
Procedure: ABS initialization - START
Procedure: Static ECU Initialization - START
Check engine button @ bottom - Clear faults – yes
After it is successful turn the Jeep off and back on
Still in ABS click hood icon
Procedure: Clearing Rolls information - START
Check engine button @ bottom - Clear faults – yes
Go back to the Body Computer
Check engine button @ bottom - Clear faults – yes
Go back to Engine Computer
Check engine button @ bottom - Clear faults – yes
Turn your Jeep off and wait a min you should be good to go… You may want to check with a GPS speedo from your phone to make sure you got the right c circumference
