I have a stock Overland with halogen headlights and I still get flashed by people who think they are too bright. I have upgraded to better halogen bulb, but I suspect part of the issue may be the height of the Gladiator compared to most cars. It seems to happen usually when I am cresting a small rise and the other car is in a depression where the low beam happens to hit them in the eyes.

No lift, stock tires, but 1.5" leveling kit to balance out the bumper/winch I added. Probably still a fraction of an inch higher than stock, so perhaps I need to adjust them. Feels like an area in which I wouldn't want to mess anything up though.
This is a huge issue with LED headlights. The LED light spectrum tends to desensitize oncoming drivers eyes to a far greater degree than incandescent ones and recovery can take longer too. I suspect DOT has capitulated to the manufactures as the FAA capitulated to Boeing. Notice how car inspections do not include headlight aiming checks any longer. Eventually the manufactures will get bit along with DOT but not before they try to throw us owners under the BUS.

If it is happening often, then you should probably re-align.

But, every vehicle I've ever had, including low small vehicles like a VW Golf, have occasionally been flashed incorrectly. I just flash back so they can see what real brights look like.
LEDs could just be brighter too, than the motorists flashing

Don't have LEDs in my Gladiator. Stock halogens so don't care. Do I get flashed yes. Still don't care. Would I care if I had LEDs? Nope. Are LEDs bright as f@ck yup. I was taught to look away from the light. Look at the white line on the side of the road to reduce the eye burn is what my dad said. Works for bright ass LEDs too.

I thought the halogens are super dim, surprised you get flashed.

I've been flashed while sitting at a stoplight by the lady next to me. She honked. Pulled her shirt up and showed me her high beams. Couldn't resist

Do the stock LEDs have auto-leveling for when the load changes the vehicle pitch? All of the German and some Japanese cars I've had with HIDs/LEDs have had that feature, I kinda recall thinking it was a law when HIDs came out.

Reason I ask is I have the Oculus Bi-LEDs which have a sharp cutoff and never normally get flashed. Last night I was driving a dark highway while towing a heavy trailer that pointed the low beams up and nearly every oncoming vehicle flashed their brights at me, it was obvious even just looking down the road that the cutoff had climbed a few degrees. No leveling motors in those aftermarket lights.

Not in the halogens either. Imagine that cost...
