I’ve never once been high beamed and I’ve driven a low sedan in front of my Jeep and they don’t shine in. They’re great when properly aimed.
Note I said "high beam". You'd better hit the dimmer or use the auto-high beam feature.
These things have fantastic high beams - shoot straight out like they should.
Low beams are fine, highs are fine - IF properly adjusted.
Just don't forget to dim them in traffic.
My wife's JLU doesn't have the auto-high beam feature that my JT has and I've driven her JLU forgetting that fact and yeah, I bet the person in front of me wanted to kill me - then I realized, I was lighting up the inside of their SUV so they could have read the fine print on a medicine bottle.
Before I got air bags in my rear springs, when towing, I was flashed all the time - even on low beams. These must be perfectly adjusted.

There’s a sharp cutoff. There’s also a lot of spill light that shines up to the trees. Yes I have a perfect line but pointed at a wall I can see everything above that line including taller trees. Again, this lights spill a lot of light vertically above the main beam.
Ours don't. Not when the truck is sitting at stock height and the lights aimed correctly. There's not much light that goes up into the trees.

Sorry if I wasn’t clear. I was empathizing what you said about how good they are when properly adjusted.

Yeah, they are. Proper adjustment is important, and any loading of the rear makes a huge difference, IMO.

I'm going to have to aim mine up a bit. The top of my cutoff lands about 75 feet in front of the vehicle, and everything beyond that is dark. I find myself easily outrunning my headlights when going 60mph or above.

I used this method and it worked very well. It stopped all oncoming traffic bright lighting me.

While returning from an off Roading trip in the wee hours of the morning, the bright lights would slap reflective signs well over a half mile down the road.

The procedure biodynamics came out with is the same

Thanks for this. After my lift, my low beams were too high, and my high beams were in the trees.

I followed a video that said that they should be aimed so that the cutoff is 36" off the ground at 25 feet. After doing that, my low beams were too low.

I just re-aimed them using your video, which says to measure from the ground to the dot on the headlight lens. That dot is 45" off the ground on my Gladiator. I aimed them so that the cutoff is at 45" off the ground at 25 feet. I will drive it tonight and see if it's better.

I think mine were at 44.5ish and I went to 42.5.

The dot on your headlight lens is at 44.5" and you aimed the headlights to 42.5" at 25 feet?
Yes. The instructions in the videos stated to adjust the light on the wall to 2” below the DOT mark.

Mine literally don’t do that. I’ve always loved the sharp cut off. One of the best I’ve had.

Well I guess I have the only pair of headlights with light that spills above the cutoff.
