For the front sway bar (Willys stock), do I need to disconnect both sides or is just one side enough? In my head it seems like it would be okay since the bar is pretty much floating without the second anchor point?

Also, it seems that people leave the rear sway connected right?

Stock sway bar... like you're going to get out and unbolt it every time and then re-torque it?

Leave rear connected.

Yep, just for this first trip, then I'm getting a quick disconnect...

Disconnecting One side works perfectly fine. Just take a zip tie or whatever to tie the link to the sway bar. make sure the threaded end does not point to your tire. I did this all the time even though I have a rubicon. I did not like that the Rubicon sway bar engages back on its own after a certain speed. I have since installed an ORO sway bar and love it.

I'd undo both sides. Make sure you zip tie the bar up and out of the way.
Leave the back connected.

What disconnect are you looking at?
I have the JKS. They work great. Some people do not like that you have to cut a tab off, but it's not that big of a deal.

Biggest problem when you reconnect is that you need to be parked level.
Otherwise you may need someone bouncing on the rock sliders to reconnect.

not sure if it will be an issue, but if you have one link connected and depending how much you droop, it could get inverted.

OP take a look at the Apex too. Easy as can be. Don't even need to be level to relock. Push one side down you're done. Other side locks when driving.

Haven't jumped to far down that rabbit hole yet...

I love all of these comments. Im not trying to knock any of you that have made comments. But I have been disconnecting one side since I've owned my Gladiator. It does not cause any problems whatsoever. When reconnecting it on unlevel ground it can be difficult but not the end of the world.

I have a 1" spacer lift on my springs and disconnected just the drivers side. It worked all weekend in the dunes with no witness marks of hitting anything. I tied the link to the sway bar and put the bolt in my center counsel.

Since you have a Rubicon there are a ton of other features that make it worth it, but with the Tazer you can unlock the swaybar anytime and it'll stay disconnected at any speed if remapped to a button.
