In stock form the diesel sport s front suspension is a joke. I can’t (yes I can) believe Jeep sent them out that way. I added a leveling puck in the front and Sumosprings (not a spring, they’re a progressive jounce essentially). For under $200 all in, I have no complaints with the front end now. No, you shouldnt have to do this to a $45k+ vehicle but at least it’s a cheap, easy, fully reversible fix for the issue. I did see roughly a 10% mpg hit when I leveled it, which is why I’m assuming they decided to produce them like they did.
I have a Cali Edition (basically a Sport S) and did similar to what you did, metalclock progressive bump stops and 1 inch front spacer. Still bottom out all the time but now it isnt harsh with the new bumpstops. Added rubicon shocks and saw no change for better or worse. Only additional weight in the front is the mopar steel bumper. Thinking about adding these clayton springs or waiting a bit until I can get their 1.5 leveling kit.

I'm considering the Sumosprings with Coil Sumosprings on the coil itself. Just not sure how it'll effect the ride. Do you think both would be overkill?

edit: forgot I was on a front suspension thread

I also have a rather heavy front bumper (full width warn with bull bar). I used ssf401-54 Sumosprings, alloy USA poly 1.5” front spacers above the factory springs and rubicon takeoff shocks. Since the sumo springs are longer than the factory jounces I opted not to add any bump stop spacers (YMMV based on tire size- I have rubicon takeoff tires). I can tell that the sumo springs are engaging with the spring cup, but I’ve never noticed them bottom out. I do mostly forest roads and don’t do high speed desert running but I’ve tested them going ~40mph over those speed humps with good results. The oem setup bottomed out on the humps going 2mph. Maybe the Sumosprings are a different material/density?

I have another .5 inch spacer I can add. I’ll have to look into the sumo springs
