I’m curious, what is winter gas like there? Is there a different mix/rating than some lower 48 states?
The highest octane you'll find here is 91 and it's not at every station. Most have 87, 89, 90. I haven't noticed any big changes in regards to winter mix.

Have you inspected the leak yourself? Mine had the same - 'trans pan' leak. It was not the trans pan. Fluid was red - trans fluid is supposedly neon green on these. It ended up being the transfer case input shaft seal. What a mess. They had to split the transfer in half apparently and resealed it with RTV. Screwed up a bunch of stuff in the process.

I would second guess if its truly the trans pan.
Happy to get your opinion. I saw a leak, I took it in. They did the rest.

Im assuming this is the back of the transmission?

see if you can locate the weep hole between the trans and transfer. There will be a little ridge of the casting. That is where fluid for me collected. I was able to see indication of the fluid coming out of the hole

See post 22 on the second page for reference. https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/forum/threads/anyone-have-trans-leaks.59905/
notice how the fluid is red, and is on the ridge of the casting. It also dripped onto the pan making it look like the pan was leaking.

The problem I had is the technicians were not even aware of the fluid color difference between transmission and transfer case. No surprise there

I would recommend reading through that whole thread I linked to, just to see what I went through and what others on this forum had to say. Then see if you can locate the source of the leak yourself - specifically if it is coming out of that weep hole. I would also contact the dealer and see if you can get in email form them to commit to what color the trans fluid is. I never got anyone to actually verify. Not even the parts department. The only people who could indicate the green color was on this forum.

I'm not saying your dealer is wrong, and I dont want to give you a false freak out, but after going through what I went through, and still being concerned they filled the transmission with the wrong fluid, I would do everything I can before you let them touch yours. Just my .02 but I have some major trust issues so take it with a grain of salt. And make sure they document EVERYTHIGN. Dont accept the vehicle back. Make them document what type of fluid they used, and how much. Every minuscule detail. It is supposed to be standard practice to do that but people seem to be lazy these days. That's the only way you can hold them to it later if they caused a problem. Like in my situation - I would have to take them to court if the transmission blew up in 3 years because they used the wrong fluid but didn't document what fluid they used.

Not a bad weekend for some maintenance! Grease the fittings, check the bolts, check alignment, check lug nuts.

White Jeep update:

  • Rear bumper with parking sensor holes and new rock sliders have been ordered. I'm replacing the modified factory rock rails since I want the angled up style we have on the blue Jeep, in fact, the exact same ones 😁. I'll sell these modified factory ones locally.
  • The leaking transmission pan/gasket was repaired today at the dealership. I'll be watching it closely.
  • The Redarc trailer brake control arrived, I'll be installing that soon.

Blue Jeep update:

  • The solar panel cables were tapping the roof on these ice covered, washboard roads, so I took it apart to better tie them up.
  • The wife helped me straighten up the steering wheel after the toe alignment check we did the other weekend.
  • You may have seen we call the white Jeep, Eeevaa from Wall-e. The blue Jeep is Zazu from Lion King.

  • Couldn't pass up a photo at the dealership today when we picked up the white Jeep
