Appreciate your input. I did reprogram with the Tazer and was pleasantly surprised that the transmission shifted as well as it does with the 4.10s, I also see 8th on the highway. I also see 3rd and 4th way too much at any slight hill and feel the transmission hunting way too much IMO, especially...
Thank you all for your opinions! I was leaning 4.88s because of the mileage aspect but now it seems that might be a moot point.
Anyone have any experience with the local shops? Brand recommendations?
I'm there, at the end of my list of must haves for the Gladiator... Gears. This is my daily driver, averaging around 150 miles a day during the week. I also like to hunt and camp at the end of the 4x4 roads where it's a little quieter, more remote and tougher to get to in your average 4x4. Not a...
Bump. Anyone need better pictures? These are in great condition, no sidewall rash, no chucks missing. They have really only been wheeled in the snow and mud, they are dirty...
Don't make me list them on a Toyota forum... HAHAHA.
Right now, with about 500 miles since the install, it's showing a 2.75 front lift from stock and 2.5" rear. I'm carrying some weight on both so I'm very pleased!
Rubicon Stock Takeoff Suspension FREE West Denver, 4,500 miles on it. Functions perfectly. Control arms, sway bar links, track bars included if you want them. Local pickup only.
For Sale 5 Falken Wildpeak MT Rubi Takeoffs LT285/70R17's. 4 of the tires have 4,000 miles on them, the spare has zero miles. $800 Local Pickup/Meet up only, West Denver, CO.
Talking with Clayton Offroad they recommended I add a .75" spacer to the rear to account for the 170lbs of standard bed weight, i.e. weight that will almost always be there. I did not do that because I could barely get the rear springs in as it was. I'm pretty sure I did not have the control...
Update*** Got the appropriate Shoes on her... 37 x 12.5 x 17 Falken Wildpeak MT's... The spare does not fit... @Clayton Off Road I'm going to need that new rear track bar.
Just an update on how she looks with a lift and proper 37's under her...
@RSI North America Inc I too am wondering if we are able to lift the cap by the roof rails using M8 weld nuts and eye bolts. I plan to lift from all four corners where there are two bolts attaching the rail to the roof.
Saved my pennies and convinced the wife to contribute to an early Christmas gift and sprung for the @Clayton Off Road 2.5" Overland lift for the Gladiator. This is my daily driver and hunting/camping rig so I was looking for something reasonable but still more capable than the 2010 4runner I...
It will be my daily driver with 37's which is why I'm doing gears now. I can't afford to drive ~2,000 miles a month and get 12MPG and not have 8th Gear for the highway.
I measured 3" in the front and 2.75" in the rear overall increase. Granted I have the topper on the back which weighs 170lbs...
