It looks like there is a "Destroyer" series slider "coming soon". From the pictures, it looks like a heavy steel version of the Armor Lite .. so that's promising. The one thing I really do like about the Amor Lite (and in theory the Destroyer) is they have heavy brackets that mount to the...
They are .. they are LOD ArmorLite aluminum sliders with the steel skins. They are actually really nice sliders. The steel skins held up really well but aluminum is probably not the best choice for sliders that need to deal with heavy drops since aluminum doesn't really bounce back like steel...
We made it as far as Eugene, OR and decided that crashing in a bed was better than crashing on the I-5…… easy 3 1/2 hrs home Thursday.
New sway bar links arrived, I’ll get them on tomorrow. The rest of the trail scars will need to wait until I have more time.
It was great fun. Good luck...
It was definitely an adventure. I’ve been on harder “obstacles” but the Rubicon is rentless.
And yes, I broke stuff too…. Rear sway bar link snapped and I trashed my rock sliders. On the plus side, the LOD rear bumper is very solid
The roof top rhino rack backbone system is very sturdy, but you do have to drill the hardtop to pass the bolts through to the internal braces.
I have the rhino rack backbone rack and the reconn-deck on my JT and have been pretty happy with it so far.
37"x12.5" Nitto Ridge Grapplers on XD232 beadlocks. 2.5" AEV lift ... its a good setup. Tires are nearly as good as the Trail Grapplers I have on my Gladiator and much less noisy on the highway.
Oh definitely. No regrets. Its a very well built system that is 100% plug and play and I value that... long gone are the days where I can bend my body into a pretzel to work up under the dash for hours trying to splice wires and find a place to mount a amplifier that "just" doesn't...
I have the full system in my 2020 .. Sound is decent but there are some gotchas...
If you are upgrading from the 8.4 Alpine system, you need to replace the entire back plastic piece behind the seats.
The subwoofer is big.. it takes up all the space behind the seats.
The subwoofer is a pain...
I can confirm that they are very easy to install from above. As suggested, a long extension makes quick work of it. Just be careful lining up the motor mount bolts ... super easy to cross thread as they are on a bit of a strange angle when trying to do it from above.
Slightly off the original topic but it is reasonably straight forward to import a vehicle from Canada into the US. I've done it twice, once with an Infiniti and once with a BMW. In both cases, I was required to obtain a letter from the US head office confirming that the Canadian vehicle met...
Just an fyi ... the LOD Destroyer rear bumper will work with the factory integrated hitch that comes with the "tow package" but will not work with the add-on Curtis or other bolt-on receivers. The bumper won't fit around the top plate on the add-ons.
The bumper, especially with the side...
They do offer just the bracket but I don't know enough about the differences in the diesel layout to know if it fits.

If cost isn't the factor, the OEM Audio Plus setup is impressive. Amps, speakers, subwoofer.. But definitely not cheap.

Hey Benny .. now that I have the doors working, its time to try adding power to the tailgate !
Any idea what is needed ? I think its just the Door Control Unit and the wiring harness...
so.. Either 68335647AD or 68335648AD. and then one of 68357615AB, 68397617AB or 68397618AB .
You have to physically grab the handle to unlock and then press the button on the handle to lock but yes it unlocks/locks all the doors at once.
"All doors" is actually an option you set in the BCM configuration as the default is only one door. Default is also the annoying "honk" on lock...
