I want to get 35’s for my Rubicon, but I want to know about weight as the Wildpeaks are already massively heavy. I do think they are a great tire so far as a new Gladiator owner. They are quiet and have great wet/dry/noise characteristics.
I used a lot of Turtle products when I was younger and found Meguires to be a little better. I use their hybrid ceramic and it works great. I have; however, used Turtles version and it worked quite well.
They don’t last as long as a full ceramic but they are so much easier to apply it’s not...
^^^that was my thought - leave the tailgate. It’s ridiculous to have to leave an entire care to wait in line. I’ve had good luck with not having to do that in the past and just had them call when they had an opening. Dealers are worse about it.
The diesel does seem like the best choice for frequent overlanding, road trips, and long commutes. I plan to do some of that but I also drive to work with it 7 min away and 30 miles per day so the diesel wasn’t the best choice for that. I also wanted a manual!
I love sleeping in hammock but I like the idea of being higher off the ground. I haven’t found the unicorn solution yet but I do like those hitch mounts. I have a free standing portable hammock stand that I have a full tent setup for and it works pretty well. I really want to be in the roof...
Do you have a soft top?
My hard top Rubicon really isn’t loud compared to my past vehicles other than the cocoon that was the Porsche Panamera. My Model 3 wasn’t quiet on the highway either.
Model 3 72-73 db at 70mph or so with radio on normal volume.
2022 Camry Hybrid 72db with radio...
There is no net zero. There is always a cost somewhere, often at the expense and f someone else. There is a reason coal is still used. It’s cheap and it has lots of embodied energy, same with natural gas. We aren’t even close to being off fossil fuels. Not even 100 years close. Much of the...
I don’t think getting hinges and paint fixed properly is going to reduce resale all that much. Having it fixed may make it more desirable to some buyers.
I’ll be curious how much difference it makes. I’ve measured Db in my Tesla, company Camery hybrid, GTR and now Jeep Gladiator, it’s not as bad as you think and not more than 1-2 louder than anything I’ve measured.
The Model 3 I came from was not quite 72-74 with radio on at 70mph. The Tuned...
There are still a few 2023 manuals locally that are waiting for parts for the clutch recall that are sitting. I’d suspect those are going to be majorly discounted by the time they are ready for sale.
This seems odd to me it’s such a dealer specific thing. If there is a service bulletin, class action lawsuit, and warranty extension, how is this not being universally fixed, other than when it’s clearly just a rick chip or dent?
Thinking out loud, there has to be better gasketing solutions...
If jeep fixes this, and I don’t think they will or should, than more people will plow through water this deep and deeper and make warranty claims. Its makes more sense for them not to cover going past limits. Thats why they have them.
Recent 2023 Glarubicon 6 speed. I bought the gladiator because it’s a more unique midsized truck, available in a manual, is a convertible and with the leftovers discounts was more than competitively priced. If you like the look, which I do, there isn’t anything else like it.
I don’t get the...
