Extreme wind noise

Quick question. Just drove the 2023 Rubicon off of the lot today with only 230 miles on it. On the 4 hr drive north of Vegas the wind noise on the right side was almost unbearable. Has anyone found a remedy for this? Just traded in the 2022 ram 1500 bighorn for the Rubicon and need to find a remedy for the "wind noise" issue. Also, the wind noise is only an issue at hwy speeds, 55+. Thanks in advance for the help.

only reason i didnt hear mine off the lot, i left with the soft top down. some had success changing the mirror plastic triangle piece, others door seal. i have to drop with front window as see if the foam is in there. just waiting for it to be nice again.

Do you have a soft top?

My hard top Rubicon really isn’t loud compared to my past vehicles other than the cocoon that was the Porsche Panamera. My Model 3 wasn’t quiet on the highway either.

Model 3 72-73 db at 70mph or so with radio on normal volume.

2022 Camry Hybrid 72db with radio on.

Tuned GTR 75-76db and you can hear the radio.

Rubicon is 73-74 with radio. I think that it’s right by you head with the wind that it is perceived much louder than it is. Not that it Isn’t a factor because of that. That’s probably why those factory liner panels help.

Road and tire noise is better than my SRT. Cherokee, but even with the hard top most of the noise is wind noise. The SET Jeep Cherokee was so loud.

Is the noise from the top? From the doors? Just general noise or is air getting in. This summer I’m going to get some mass loaded vinyl and line the doors and top. That will probably help a lot.

My soft top is pretty quit for a jeep. Even at 70mph we can talk normal hear the radio. I like it so far.

Is the hard top not secured? Take it to the dealership and have them fix it.

I would be worried about messing up the water seals and/or drainage pattern. I don’t even want to think about the potential cost of fixing electrical shit up there. A little water under the rear bench costed me $1,900 last month smh (other causes though)

Run painters tape along the door/window seal on the exterior, put in pieces and slowly remove/drive/remove/drive until you find the location. I know what I have is not the normal jeep or soft top noise. It literally sounds like the window is open

The dealership is a 4 hour drive away. We live in RURAL Nevada

mine sounds like the passenger window is cracked open too. My wife says she can feel air coming in from the bottom of the door so I’m thinking it’s the door seal.

Our gladiator is brand new, just drove it off of the lot yesterday. There shouldn't be any alignment issues, but we did get home from the vegas area at close to 10 pm last night and had to get back up at 3am today for work. Will have to check out the alignment issue possibility over our weekend. Thanks?

I have found the best way to avoid wind noise is to stay off the freeway.

There shouldn't be any alignment issues,

Human installation.

The dealership is a 4 hour drive away. We live in RURAL Nevada
