@redline61 – I'll see how this edit/delete thing works out. If I can't edit older posts for corrections or revisions, I'm not going to update all that much here anymore and will have to find a different place. Pain in the butt, since I'd have to copy a lot of stuff, but if that's what it takes...
Hi all,
it seems that I can't edit or delete older posts anymore – that's kind of disappointing, since I sometimes like to correct reviews or information in my build thread. Is this intentional?
Thanks,
cug
It seems I can't edit older posts (other than the first one) anymore. If that stays, I'm going to stop this build thread and move it to a site where I can. Bummer.
Update: this seems to work again.
And while there doesn't seem to be much progress – a lot of things are moving into the final stages before they come together.
Today we did a "track saw puzzle" to waste as little of our stock of baltic birch panels as possible while still getting the panels with the wood grain in the same...
Ugh. Posted the above from the phone ... what a shitty white balance. But okay, it looks better in real life.
We'll finish the dividers and the various covers and hatches for the "utility module" (the one under the tank) and then we'll put it all together and in the truck. THEN I'll get some...
Not having the truck here at the momemt, I can't check, but couldn't you drill another hole into the handle close to the pivot bold and secure that with a padlock?
The thing is, as soon as someone comes with an angle grinder, all bets are off anyways. It's probably also very likely that you...
Made quite some progress in the last few days, but no new photos, I'll post more photos when the "bench" is done and ready, it won't be long:
Installed Southco slam latches in the lid, figured out a way to mount the strike plate in this case as well, not optimal, but it works: a strip of 12mm...
I really like the clean install! Nice work! What kind of carpet/insulation did you use there if I may ask? Insulation is still a mostly unsolved problem in our build.
I don't think I need that much pressure. Our use is to get water from the tank through a water filter to a small sink, e.g. for brushing teeth and to an outside spigot for a quick way to get some coffee water. I was planning on splitting between them right behind the filter.
That looks pretty good. Very low price compared to the rather expensive Shurflo.
One more question: Do you actually need two pumps for two outlets if they aren't used at the same time or did it just work better this way for you?
To explain: In my build, I'm planning two outlets as well, one...
Quick question to folks here:
Have you found a 12V water pump that integrates nicely? I have a Shurflo in another truck, that works well, but wanted to check about options.
Thanks a lot ...
Got the woodworking and the attachments for the "doors" done today:
Test fit of the door panels:
Inside, the small panel prevents the door from falling through and is the attachment point for the latch keeper (temporary hardware, the final one will be used when it gets here):
Gave the...
