  2. Why Mojave?

Rims and tires are $2 - $4k which isn't cheap but I get your point. What color is your HA?
  3. Texas 2022 EcoDiesel JEEP Gladiator Rubicon

I'm not in the market. Just sold my diesel with the failed HPFP and picked up a 2023 gas Rubicon. Best of luck with the sale!
  4. Why Mojave?

The factory 20" rims would be a deal breaker.
  5. Texas 2022 EcoDiesel JEEP Gladiator Rubicon

Which dealer offered you $56k and did you get it in writing? Was it a cash offer or did it have a tax incentive in that number if you bought a new one? I'm in Texas as well and used vehicle prices are falling at auction and dealer floor plan costs are getting a bit out of control. New...
  6. Why Mojave?

Well thought out response. In my opinion, the only models worth purchasing in 2023 are the variants with the wide track Dana 44 axles - Rubicon, Mojave or Sport S Max Tow. The benefits (payload and towing) of the axles alone warranty hard consideration of these three trims.
  7. Why Mojave?

Any iron knuckle is going to run $400 - $500 regardless if it's OEM or aftermarket. I looked at the Mojave when I my diesel HPFP bought the farm and went with the Rubicon. - Higher towing capacity (7000# vs 6000#) - Hood / Cowl compatibility - most aftermarket mounts don't fit the Mojave (a...
  8. Why Mojave?

The upgraded shocks are nice as are the iron knuckles. I've ordered a set of iron knuckles ($1k) and expect to have the here next week. The shocks are good and a vast upgrade from those on my Overland.
  9. Texas 2022 EcoDiesel JEEP Gladiator Rubicon

Two 2022's at auction today for $41k and $43k - both Rubicon's w/ under 20k miles each. Both ran through the lane and were sold. Three gas Rubicon's for (2021) $45k and (2 x 2022) $48k - all lease returns with under 30k miles. Two sold at asking and there was a bidding war on one of the...
  10. Why Mojave?

This guy went through the process of deciding between the Sport S Max Tow, Mojave and Rubicon and spoiler, went for the Mojave. Pros and Cons of 3 most popular Gladiator Trims His use case was a bit different than mine but I like the thought process he went through to arrive at his decision.
  11. My (Almost Mine) JT & Back Story

  12. TEXAS? What are you using?

HAM - 2m / 70cm installed in the Jeep. Also have a handheld on 2m / 70cm. The 10,20,40 meter is reserved for the home base station.
  13. 2023 JTR 1000 mile fuel analysis

I like to track fuel mileage, operating costs and track trends to anticipate issues before they arise. This is my 1000 mile history on my 2023 Gladiator Rubicon 3.6L - all stock. For completeness sake, these are the items added to the Jeep: - winch bumper and winch totaling 120 pounds. -...
  14. My dealership offered me an alternative to my Diesel JT, and it is very tempting

Assuming it gets built, delivered and the HPFP recall gets implemented.
  15. My dealership offered me an alternative to my Diesel JT, and it is very tempting

Same situation but from the perspective of having one and the HPFP crapped out. I tow a 16' (12' box + 4' neck) open utility trailer that weighs 2000 pounds and can hold another 6000 pounds. The tow rating on the diesel is 6600 pounds and 7000 pounds on my new 2023 JTR gasser. The diesel...
  16. Gladiator Sales Slump

Jeep as a whole was down 3% year over year. Much of the consternation and hesitation is due to model year changes in 2024 and higher MSRP and interest rates. I was not part of this statistic...lol! I bought a 2023 Rubicon in June and squeezed the dealer.
  17. 2020 Rubicon Automatic Transmission issues

The ZF 8HP75 is damn near bulletproof.
  18. Winter winch

I use the sh!t out of mine and have not melted the rope. I also have good air flow across the drum and always pull the rope out to work off the first wrap.
  19. New or Used?

My wife doesn’t give a damn what I do to my Jeep so long as I leave her Land Rover alone.
  20. going in for various warranty repairs

I always take my vehicles in for an alignment a few weeks after purchase. It may be dead on but I want it in writing.
