Do what we did when we traveled when they were young.
Pull over, tend to the kids, get back on the road.
As others have said, moving the seat would render the safety mechanisms useless if not lethal.
I did not but have a trailer with progressive electronic / hydraulic brakes.
The trailer weighs 2200# unloaded and has a 6000# capacity. We had roughly 5500# of material on the trailer and the stopping distance required was longer than I was comfortable with. On downward grades the stopping...
With 3900 miles on a 2021 it's practically new and why are we even having this conversation. Tell the little woman you're going with the 2021 and that's final.
Hopefully she has a sense of humor and you have a comfortable couch.
If they're up front about it that's awesome. I had a few dealers call me when I was dealing with the HPFP issue saying they had a fix and to come look at theirs which was an obvious sales tactic.
With the stop sale on diesel powered anything with the 3.0L I'm surprised they're advertising it for sale. Quite possibly this is a bait and switch opportunity.

I throw the tree protector around the pillar, soft shackle the ends, hook up to the shackle and pull the jeep up the hill...
Mine has the same amount exposed.
The issue is for those that have theirs mounted on top of the bumper (not in the bumper like ours) and exposed to the elements.
Both cables require maintenance. Steel cable requires you keep it clean, oil it and keep proper tension. Synthetic rope can get damaged by sunlight (over time) and is susceptible to freezing if it gets wet. Get a cover for both.
I prefer synthetic as it's as strong as steel cable without the...
The cloth seats are softer than the stiff leather seats initially. After about 10k miles the leather seats break in and are just as soft. Both clean up easily if you clean up quick but liquid will soak into the cloth seats quick. Pull off the covers, throw them in the wash, problem solved...
The weak link is now the axle shafts.
440 ft. lb. torque + sticky tires = busted shafts
You don't send it so you should be relatively fine. If it looks sketchy... bypass it.
The other x-factor now is the pump delivering more fuel to the engine with the larger wheels and stock gearing. Look...
