The union wants what they were promised in 2019. Record inflation, higher profits, executive bonuses but ZERO COLA for the union workers. Union gave up so much to keep the big three afloat and now it’s time to make good on your promise.
I’ve bought three Gladiators in two years. One was bought back by FCA due to the diesel fuel pump failure. The third will stick around for a while.
If automakers built and sold vehicles consumers could rely on that lasted hundreds of thousands of miles they would have brand loyal customers...
20+ years as a diesel technician and having experienced two EcoDud failures I’d recommend passing on the diesel. Yes, it’s a fantastic power plant but it’s not been treated as a long term option by FCA. I’ve got the 3.6 now which isn’t awesome but it gets the job done.
I’ve got a quote from AMW for a 5.7 swap and a check ready for them to get busy.
If FCA makes the 5.7 or 6.4 a factory option I’ll take the money and pay the difference.
I've traveled through the boondocks in rickety beaters and had no issues. Routine maintenance and checking grounds, bolts and hoses is on my routine maintenance list.
Yes and no. You can get to that section from the wheel well but have to remove the inner fender liner. I had a fold there from a ratchet strap and got a quote of $800 from a PDR shop. I ended up not worrying about it.
They’ve got a glut of 5.7’s without the eTorque crap on it to move so it just makes sense. If I’m wrong, I’m wrong, but if I’m right, shut up and take my money.
