The Jeep was designed for the addition of a winch. Dont monkey around, run the winch power cable to the battery and use the available studs of it for power and ground.
I agree with the above. If it wasnt for the offroading, I would be driving a Silverado. Was looking at them when the JT announcement came out and held up a couple months to look at. Loved my JKU but had to depart due to needing a truck and went with a Tacoma. Wasnt happy with the GEN 3...
After going through multiple jeep lifts over the years including my first JT Overland I decided just to go with the AEV spacer lift as it is more than capable on most trails without having to deal with any of the hardships of a lift( adj track bars, adj LCA's to fix caster, steering issues...
Rubicon 33's on a 2" lift doesnt look bad. Wear out the 33's first. Why spend $1500 to get 1 more inch of ground clearance at this stage. Pic of my Sarge with AEV and stock 33's and buddies Mopar lift and 35's.
Far enough away is relative! My alarm goes off when the fob is in my pocket and I'm in the garage and accidently trigger it. The JT is on the street 75-100ft away.
I did all that on the Overland, 35's, 2" Mopar lift. Ended up having to upgrade gears, deal with caster. With the Rubicon, I just went with a 2" spacer kit from AEV and kept the stock 33's. I'll run the 33's until they rot off.... LOL. I know people want it for looks but spending that much...
Ooohhhh, memories! While in the Marines I had a Corporal working for me. He just got back from a 2 week deployment and I stapled these huge panties to the bottom of his bag sitting all alone in the hanger. When his wife arrived, they went to get the bag. As they started to leave, she noticed...
Yea, replace both batteries or else you will have a dead vehicle soon. Wifes JL did this... ESS wasnt working for awhile. One day, dead! charged both batteries and it was OK for a couple weeks then dead again. New batteries and now all is well! what an expensive adventure.
