Well all, I'm in the same boat as others. Some recent life things dictate a change. This is a fantastic forum, with some really amazing people and a handful I hope to meet in person. Tons of knowledge here as well and I hope it continues for new JT owners. What a fantastic platform! But, for now I must sadly part ways. Change sucks, and I am not gone yet.

Depending on how she sells I may or may not have accessories available, although it is unlikely I will be able to ship any of them a long distance.

Here is the ad for anyone interested.

e you go, but I understand. The way people keep leaving, it gonna be a small crowd around here. Good luck to you!
Something like that happened years ago on the TJ forum, it was all hoping one minute then quiet the next. Only the 'old guys' are still left but they have a ton of knowledge still to share.

Ha I felt the same way. For fun I checked the good 'ol FB marketplace around me and there are surprisingly a ton of JT's up for sale. I think part of it is people being called back to work in person possibly.

Always a pleasure! This is a great group of people so I will for sure be popping in to just see what kind of cool adventures everyone is going on and what cool new tech is happening. Maybe letting the JT go, but definitely not letting the Jeep Life go.

Six months ago maybe more I was looking maybe and the salesman we’ve used for 10 years now said “do it know, it won’t get any better”. I asked the market or the truck and he said “both, but the truck won’t help”. He didn’t tip his hand much. Cool guy, I some times just go to BS with him when it’s slow there. The old guys that did the real hands on are fading out man along with all the older Jeeps. , it’s a whole new culture coming to jeeps now. Jeeps everywhere here in my village, millions of them, only about 3 maybe 4 of us runs ZJs, handful of TJs, even less YJs and CJs are right there with ZJs. Most of the WJs are populated with tweakers, only couple built ones. It’s all new stuff and most of that is just show iron.

Yeah it's definitely interesting. Back when I was a tech it was right before vehicles really got computerized. I recall quitting to head off to basic, coming back a few years later to visit with some old friends and coworkers and was blown away. Walking into the shop everyone was holding a tablet, wirelessly connecting to vehicles for diagnostics. I thought it was a pretty crazy change in the matter of a couple years. Now it's changing again with the EV market. But thats not necessarily a bad thing. Today I am cleaning up the JT and taking some stuff out of it. I am feeling good about my decision. The JT is fantastic. But I have 3 jeeps that all just sit there so this will put more use on the TJ and LJ to keep fluids and things going. I saw a nice yellow TJ driving home yesterday with a younger adult in there, maybe late 20's. Theres still a bunch of TJ's and YJ's all throughout MT but mostly for weekend fun - although I do see some in town that are clearly DD's. The JT is definitely a more comfortable ride, amazing radio, and nicely heated seats and wheel for those -20 degree days. But the TJ and LJ are very basic comparatively, easy to work on, and cheap which is also a nice feeling.

Mid ‘90s to early Y2K was just right. Smart enough to do an efficient job but simple enough to understand. Today’s tech aside from EPA mandated BS is technology for technologies sake, really just unnecessary and it’s not just Jeep. Industrial equipment, over the road trucks, powergen is all the same now too. Been a dealer field tech most of my career and have had a front row seat to the madness. I can get down on what you are saying. My ZJs and your TJ/LJ are cut from the same time cloth and are ridiculously simple compared to a JT, maybe not as nice and sophisticated but in the end both will get us to a grocery store or work.
