Yep, even better. Seriously though, and I’m no expert, I would think that either should work, and I would think that a battery ground would be better ( more direct ). I’m kind of interested to see the answers from some of the experts, given the way that the second battery is wired in, along with protecting the electronics.

Looking at the inside fender well, I see a Big Stud sticking out.

(Wow, that didn't sound good at all!)

Already in used as a ground, so tempting!

I'm thinking of finding a point of the frame simply for the wench ground.

Would hate to through off some of the electrical systems using the same ground already in use.

The best spot is the top of the battery where the other two cables are connected. The second best is the frame ground point where the cable from the top of the battery is connected. This is the one that will be less hassle with the dealer service monkeys.

The Jeep was designed for the addition of a winch. Dont monkey around, run the winch power cable to the battery and use the available studs of it for power and ground.

I'm leaning towards, BOW THRUSTER, because of BIG STUD sticking out!
