Always had great experiences with DT.
They didn't give her an actual receipt? I priced it online with the maintenance and everything and it was $407.73 OTD with the protection plan. Seems odd that it's exactly $100 more than what the online "normal" price would be.
I worked at an off road shop and have run Toyos, Nittos, BFGs, Kendas, and goodyears all in AT flavor (excludes all the MTs/competition tires I've run as well). There's a reason BFG has survived through the years with the industry reputation they have, and it's not just because they have dealer...
Completely happy with my 37" BFG ATs. I got mine when walmart was running one of their really low deals, and I got Discount tire to match the price. Took 2 days to get in and all's been good ever since. Got them probably a year and a half ago at $315 each... :)
I'm a 3d print rookie, neptune 4 that I've done basic bits/toys/ect.. with. I just got it a few months ago. Would love some more useful things to print out .
done so and I've addressed the benefit outlines. The aux batter is there to keep voltage from dropping too low during ESS events. My statement is a battery with proper capacity would accomplish the same task and remove a point of failure.
If it was a true dual battery setup and one battery...
I don't think the aux battery is the devil everyone thinks it is, but I do question its true usefulness compared to the increased complexity. I've got a max tow so a bit larger battery from the start, I keep all my accessories on switches/relays to there's rarely any additional draw, and all my...
I'm with you. Worked at a jeep shop all through college where I learned to regear. Had lits and all the nice stuff. got out of Jeeps for 20 years, then bought my gladiator. Put 37's under it and was pulling a boat so regeared to 5.13s. Tried to do gears on a set of quickjacks, and I was...
Max Tow is 7650, I have one.
OP's picture is a Rubicon, so 7K. IT's basically the same drivetrain, but the Rubicon is a bit heavier so it drops the towable weight some.
IMO, and I'm just speaking in generalities, There's a reason most companies with towing vehicles opt for the Turbo over the Supercharger. Especially with the 3.6's stock internals the superchargers haven't been identified as a super reliable mod for jeeps that will be worked hard when towing. I...
The "0" on the bottom left are the two 0-etched markings. When you pull your gears out of your Jeep, as long as they have the same 0 on the bottom/left you "should" be able to swap the new gears in with the same shim thickness as factory.
the same thing that happened in 2019 when the tariffs were rolled out, it pushed Toyota to invest $13 billion in the US economy over 5 years. Other auto mfgs would follow suite as well.
my guess is there aren't that many actual axle variations. The Mojave has the same housing as the Rubicon and Max Tow, but it has aluminum knuckles vs the steel knuckles on the other Jeeps, which increase the track width slightly.
I can't confirm, but I'd venture to guess the housing itself is...
It's not really "Narrow" axles, there's standard width axles and then there's the WideTrack axles that come under the Rubicon and Max Tow gladiators. I believe for the MaxTow the extra width was necessary for trailer stabilization and to get the trailer rating that Jeep offered. I'm not sure on...
to echo on this, a steering stabilizer will NEVER be the cause of DW. In a perfect world stabilizers aren't needed. They can help to mask another issue and prevent DW, but they'll never be the cause of it. Like saying your band-aid is the cause of your papercut.
Trac-bar and draglink should be...
Man I don't know how else to explain it to you, you're not getting it and I don't have the crayons to explain it another way.
If it works for you that's great, have fun. There's a reason 99% of performance lifted vehicles match the gearing the way they do. You keep bring up 85MPH, but that's...
Efficient isn't the same thing as peak... I don't have the desire to explain it tonight, but if you need peak torque all the time it perfectly exemplifies why you need deeper gear.
