All that will help a bunch, but caster correction is done with control arms. But with 1” teraflex - daystar I bet you will be just fine and significantly reduce bottom out situations.
So Those are not extra etc, those are needed for this kit.
They are the 1.25" bump stop extensions that come included with the kit.
They are there for 2 reasons.
#1. The fox shocks in the mopar kit are longer shocks than the stock shocks and have a longer minimum length than stock. The risk...
I installed the mopar 2” lift on my rubicon diesel, steel bumpers / roof rack.
I do not have the bottom out issue like I did before. I would say it’s 95” solved.
Now off-road, with sways disconnected I have hit the bumps even with the lift. But it’s so much better than it was before.
I am...
Yeah I paid for my lift, and dealt with the install labor on my own. I can say it's work getting it in there, and take your time. But it has solved this bottoming out issue for me, with compromises.
FYI I did also pay for an alignment.
Caster ended up at 4.4 Left and 4.8 Right.
Toe is set in...
When you diesel folks are starting on an incline do you experience 3-4 seconds turbo lag?
I live in a neighborhood where when I leave I have to get up to speed due to oncoming traffic, and even if I totally floor it, it takes a few seconds at least to make any power. Flat land it’s not as...
Good question! So most of the lateral spring bow (side 2 side) evened out and became a non issue when the vehicle was set on the ground with all the UCA and LCA bolts loose.
The springs have a very slight bow outwards (normal) and a slight side bow equal on both sides. I bet you could correct...
My stock shocks were also super soft. I do think 80% of the issue is the shocks, 10% bump stops and 10% springs.
Don’t go flexing that Jeep with the longer shocks… until your coils are in.
You will not have death wobble on a Gladiator unless you totally mess up the install, and leave most everything loose. Your ball joints, tire rod, etc, are so new... Death wobble is not going to happen with the mopar 2" parts if installed as instructions state. They do have spring bow 'issues'...
Hey I am curious from you other Mopar 2" Diesel lift folks. The instructions were HORRIBLE for what parts go on what side (Springs).
The pictures show the jeep (left and right side) and the associated springs. but the diesel column the sides are reversed from the pictures. Seriously Mopar... Do...
My feedback is towing in cool temps with the diesel is great. The torque is awesome. But if you tow in high temps, I’d regear the gasser.
The Diesel engine is a very complex animal, the more complex, the higher the probability of issues.
But I do love mine.
Get an obd2 BLE+ adapter, and pull...
35's for sure!
As an update. All components are in.
I have a pull to the right, it's not intense, but it's always there. It feels like it's a bit more than typical road crown pulling that solid axles have.
I have attempted the following.
1. AEV steering stabilizer priming (but this stab...
