Hi there. I am working on installing the 2" diesel lift to help with some of the bottoming out that happens up front. I am having an issue with the passenger side. There is some spring bow that is towards the rear of the vehicle (some of it is away from the vehicle.)

FYI in the pics all parts are installed on correct sides (triple checked that), springs are fully clocked on the bottom isolator.
I have not torqued anything down yet, everything is only hand tight. The Axle is being supported on 2 jackstands set at the same height. The driver side has a small outward bow, and looks fine. How can I correct this?

Ever figure it out? I have heard of this before. I am thinking about buying the mopar diesel lift, do you like it overall?

Good question! So most of the lateral spring bow (side 2 side) evened out and became a non issue when the vehicle was set on the ground with all the UCA and LCA bolts loose.

The springs have a very slight bow outwards (normal) and a slight side bow equal on both sides. I bet you could correct the bow with better lower isolators, but it’s so slight and is a non-issue.

I will say my truck is perfectly aligned per specs. But the caster is only 4.4…. This is post the longer mopar LCAs.

Driving felt light with the stock stabilizer, so plan on upgrading that, and the front axle had shifted 3/4” which was visible.

I found a synergy track bar and installed that to fix it. But there was a slight rub with the synergy bar that required I grind a mm or so of metal off the frame mount and paint it as it squeked. You can’t tell by looking at it but it did squeak.

I will say that it pulls to the right much more than stock, I’ve tried tires side to side, and front to back, nothing changes.

I think the issue is caster at 4.4 isn’t enough, even though mopar specs call it perfect.

I may invest in geo brackets to solve later on it it becomes annoying.

Ah!!!

Those springs are diesel specific?

Did you use the diesel specific spring isolators?

100% sure it's the diesel springs and also the isolators. Checked part numbers on everything, and had dealer verify.

I just installed mine over the weekend and the passenger spring bow just like your and still is. I installed the 148AA driver side and 147AA passenger side. Can't really tell from your photos but it appears you have it the same.

Does your height measures evenly left to right? Mine is 1/2" lower on driver side. Thanks

Is your body off center from the axle? When lifting it moves over a bit, nice to have adjustable track bar to re center.

Yeah yeti xd track bar installed. It was off by 5/8. I'm just not sure the springs are installed on the correct side.

Metalcloak makes a spring correction perch may help with some of the bow out but that one does not look right.

Did you loosen your control arms?

Yup. Torque uca, lca and track bar while the truck on ground. The old passenger side isolator was the same as the one came with the kit and i can tell that's what caused the bow toward the rear of the vehicle, driver side was different, but the springs looks good.

I also have the Diesel(2022) with the Mopar lift installed. Had a couple questions for you in the know:

what are the correct part #'s to make sure the springs are in the correct location (Front- left/right and Rear- left/right) ??

also, looking in your wooden crate of take off parts, can anyone confirm why ?? I got two spring isolators, one is gray and the other is black and they are different designs... this seems strange to me ... I figured each part taken off would be the same for each side.... like all the other parts.. any ideas ?

Thanks

do you recall which ones are the diesel specific isolators ? I had my diesel lift installed at the dealer, the isolators on the vehicle appear identical (black / soft rubber) but inside the lift box of take off parts, I had a gray one and a black one that appeared to be designed different.

Do you photos of the isolators? Does your front right passenger spring bowing toward the rear?

My diesel lift included 2 black isolators.
they only fit on one way…

I am replacing mine with metal cloak next week to solve the spring bow.
