Rubi take offs on my Sport S. Iāve been running them about 40K miles, no issues. I did not reset or reprogram the computer. My Jeep is a 6 speed MT. I didnāt notice any real performance difference other than being a little slower āoff the lineā. Once it got moving it seemed to accelerate and...
The last 4 banger Jeep I had was an M38A1 mil-surp. The last V8 Jeep was a ā73 CJ-5. Too little or too much. Iām probably in the minority here, but I like the V6. A lotā¦. And I only buy manuals for my primary driver. Iām hoping my V6/6 speed Gladiator lasts a long-ass time.
I have the Weathertech as well, front and rear . Theyāre great. I did a fairly challenging trail in N Georgia (Sarahās Creek) with no contact or issues. You can see the mud on my steps, but the flaps keep the side of the Jeep clean.
Well, at 66 Iām one of the old guys. Iāve had very few automatics and didnāt like them much. No MT is a deal breaker to me. Iāll just make my ā20 Gladiator last. From the sound of it, Iām so decrepit that Iāll only need it a year or two more.
5 years in and I donāt strap it. Iām in GA and have more open days than closed. I did strap one day during some pretty bouncy off roading to keep it from slamming. Other than that one time, never.
Most of my photos were lost in a fire. But I do have one of the Wagoneer. Wish I still had that one. It had the 232cid inline 6 and āthree on the treeā tranny. Eventually the synchronizers wore out and I swapped in a floor shift transmission. I put in a 2ā add-a-leaf kit with heavy duty shackles...
Love the title of this post, since my JT is definitely my first āmodern Jeepā. Of the couple dozen or so that Iāve owned over the last 50 years, the newest was a ā67 Kaiser Jeep Wagoneer (also had a 67 M715 truck). So this is my first Jeep with a AC, coil suspension, power steering & brakes...
Thanks, but no recent water crossing. Small creek a couple years ago. 10ā deep at most.
Iāll mention it to my service advisor next oil change. Little black boxš¤ā¦ā¦. sounds ominous.
This has been going on intermittently for a while. Every day or two Iāll get this warning. The tires service warning and a dead reading on the front left wheel. I had the TPMS replaced in that tire but it didnāt fix it. I thought it was another bad TPMS sender. But thenā¦. I had the tires rotated...
20% more life between tire replacements sounds good. But itās also 20% more expense when you replace them. Itās a wash in my book.
A spare, to me, is just that. It gets you down the road to the first place that can repair or replace the damaged tire. Emphasis on First Place. Donāt want to be...
I also used the BAK MX4 for several years on my Gladiator. Also had on on the 1/2 ton Chevy that preceded the JT. That BAK served me 5 years and when I traded my Chevy I passed that cover on to my son. So it is now 10 years old and still performs great.
I was super careful on the installs and...
I e driven Jeeps for 50+ years. The vast majority were mil-surp and the newest universal Jeep before the Gladiator was a ā64 CJ3-B. The JT is the first Iāve had out of 20+ with AC, heater, glass door windowsā¦ā¦.:: (the 67 Wagoneer did have an AM radio, so I did have a bit of luxury along the...
Built Right. https://builtrightind.com/products/2020-jeep-gladiator-utility-rail-system
I put these in when I bought my RLD cap. They are made from unistrut without all the mounting holes that come in the off-the-shelf strut from Home Depot. These are well made, installed perfectly, and are...
