  1. Rubicon or Mojave takeoffs on Sport?

Yep… paid $500 for mine with only 50-odd miles on them. I like the stock Rubi wheels.
  2. Rubicon or Mojave takeoffs on Sport?

Rubi take offs on my Sport S. I’ve been running them about 40K miles, no issues. I did not reset or reprogram the computer. My Jeep is a 6 speed MT. I didn’t notice any real performance difference other than being a little slower ā€œoff the lineā€. Once it got moving it seemed to accelerate and...
  3. What is Jeep doing? So lost at this point

The last 4 banger Jeep I had was an M38A1 mil-surp. The last V8 Jeep was a ā€˜73 CJ-5. Too little or too much. I’m probably in the minority here, but I like the V6. A lot…. And I only buy manuals for my primary driver. I’m hoping my V6/6 speed Gladiator lasts a long-ass time.
  4. Do mud flaps make a difference (protect my driver's door handle from road grit/mud)?

I have the Weathertech as well, front and rear . They’re great. I did a fairly challenging trail in N Georgia (Sarah’s Creek) with no contact or issues. You can see the mud on my steps, but the flaps keep the side of the Jeep clean.
  5. Manual Transmission Discontinued for 2025

Well, at 66 I’m one of the old guys. I’ve had very few automatics and didn’t like them much. No MT is a deal breaker to me. I’ll just make my ā€˜20 Gladiator last. From the sound of it, I’m so decrepit that I’ll only need it a year or two more.
  6. Securing SunRider when Open

5 years in and I don’t strap it. I’m in GA and have more open days than closed. I did strap one day during some pretty bouncy off roading to keep it from slamming. Other than that one time, never.
  7. Have you had issues since you had the clutch recall done?

About 3 months/3K miles. All is great!
  8. Got any Bestop Mods on YOUR Gladiator?

The Sunrider. By far my favorite and most used accessory/mod.
  9. Tire Pressure Cold vs Hot

If you are worried about it now, wait until the seasons change. In GA it is not uncommon to go from 32 in the morning to 37 in the afternoon
  10. Got some new shoes

Looks great! I’d love to have those wheels in black for my Sting Gray. What size are the BFGs?
  11. My First Modern Jeep - 2021 JT Gladiator Rubicon

Most of my photos were lost in a fire. But I do have one of the Wagoneer. Wish I still had that one. It had the 232cid inline 6 and ā€œthree on the treeā€ tranny. Eventually the synchronizers wore out and I swapped in a floor shift transmission. I put in a 2ā€ add-a-leaf kit with heavy duty shackles...
  12. My First Modern Jeep - 2021 JT Gladiator Rubicon

Love the title of this post, since my JT is definitely my first ā€œmodern Jeepā€. Of the couple dozen or so that I’ve owned over the last 50 years, the newest was a ā€˜67 Kaiser Jeep Wagoneer (also had a 67 M715 truck). So this is my first Jeep with a AC, coil suspension, power steering & brakes...
  13. It’s not the TPMS sender……

Thanks, but no recent water crossing. Small creek a couple years ago. 10ā€ deep at most. I’ll mention it to my service advisor next oil change. Little black boxšŸ¤”ā€¦ā€¦. sounds ominous.
  14. It’s not the TPMS sender……

Thanks. Stock Rubicon wheels and tires
  15. It’s not the TPMS sender……

This has been going on intermittently for a while. Every day or two I’ll get this warning. The tires service warning and a dead reading on the front left wheel. I had the TPMS replaced in that tire but it didn’t fix it. I thought it was another bad TPMS sender. But then…. I had the tires rotated...
  16. 5 new wheels or 4?

20% more life between tire replacements sounds good. But it’s also 20% more expense when you replace them. It’s a wash in my book. A spare, to me, is just that. It gets you down the road to the first place that can repair or replace the damaged tire. Emphasis on First Place. Don’t want to be...
  17. Gremlin?

Gee, when you said ā€œGremlinā€, I thought you were talking about one of these-
  18. Bed covers recommendations?

I also used the BAK MX4 for several years on my Gladiator. Also had on on the 1/2 ton Chevy that preceded the JT. That BAK served me 5 years and when I traded my Chevy I passed that cover on to my son. So it is now 10 years old and still performs great. I was super careful on the installs and...
  19. Why don’t more people drive naked?

I e driven Jeeps for 50+ years. The vast majority were mil-surp and the newest universal Jeep before the Gladiator was a ā€˜64 CJ3-B. The JT is the first I’ve had out of 20+ with AC, heater, glass door windows…….:: (the 67 Wagoneer did have an AM radio, so I did have a bit of luxury along the...
  20. Aftermarket Trail Rails - best recommendations / options?

Built Right. https://builtrightind.com/products/2020-jeep-gladiator-utility-rail-system I put these in when I bought my RLD cap. They are made from unistrut without all the mounting holes that come in the off-the-shelf strut from Home Depot. These are well made, installed perfectly, and are...
