For those of you who have pulled the 3.6, how did you do it?
I don't really want to buy $300 plates to mount to the exhaust ports.
Would lifting straps work?
We put a scope in it and could see a chunk missing from one of the exhaust valves. Also, I had been hearing what sounded like an amp/subwoofer thump when I started it recently...I guess it wasn't the sub. I have a kicker sub box in it too.
I can't load pics so here's a link...
Long story short -
A few months ago I posted on the tick of death I dealt with and it seemed to be running fine until the other day. I was accelerating hard when it threw misfire codes P0300, 0305 & 0306...
Cleared codes and did some testing in alfaobd (clean phasers, cam relearn etc) and ended...

Intake rockers and one lifter were shot on the pass side. Buttoned it all back up and it won't start. My buddy said he heard something hitting the valve cover.
Are there common errors to look for as we tear it back down again tomorrow?

I'm able to tear into mine also. 94k mi, misfire on 5 under hard acceleration, and it sounds like a playing card in a bike spoke on the pass side.
Being spoiled by having a backup camera on an off-road rig, I wanted to be able to actually use it when it was most needed- in the desert.
As soon as you hit the trail, this camera gets completely covered in dust. Sure, I could get out and wipe it on my way to work every day but that method...
Last night I decided to see if a direct route to the Hieroglyphics OHV area near my house was open or if it crossed private property. Turns out, it was open (at least most of the way, because I got sidetracked and never made it to the destination). I recorded a little bit of the run which...
