It's an 11" mirror, so it still hits the driver's sun visor, but is manageable. I have the direct mirror mount option, not the strap on method. I can get you more info if you are serious about the unit. Warning, it's not inexpensive.
I just installed 2 Rydeen Tombo 360x units along with their turn camera system, modified to be a front/rear trail camera system. It's pricy, but the proximity sensor recording while parked, plus the 360° view really sold me on it. Both of our Jeeps have it now. They're currently on sale...
With all mounting brackets and switches installed, it's a very usable system. Each camera can be digitally aimed, so I can drop the view to see close up obstacles.
Since I added a Rydeen Tombo 360x dash camera a week or so back, I saw that company had some add-ons including turn cameras, and thought to myself, I bet you I could turn that into a trail camera. I'm waiting on the rear licence plate bracket to show tomorrow, but I can flip a 12v 3-way switch...
3 of 4 tasks done today. First up is dash camera install. Driver's in South Texas are the worst in the nation, I'll stand firm on that statement, so a dash camera is good insurance to have when, not if, an accident happens down here.
Next up was the AC mixer door actuator motor replacement...
Dang, glad everyone is safe. Sorry about your loss of your JT. Best color.
Insurance people are a pain to work with, especially if the accident is claimed on your policy, as they'll do everything to give you rock bottom price for it. Get all add-on items itemized with receipts to get anything...
I'm not the youngest chap either, I qualify for some senior discounts and AARP won't leave me the f@rk alone. Have a corporate visit tomorrow, so tonight is buttoning up all the loose ends.
The divers in South Texas are probably the worst in the nation, and that's not an exaggeration. My wife's Jeep has been backed into 3x at her work just in the last 6 months, the rear bumper shroud is a mess, and she parks about as far away as she can. At least we can get images, plates...
Haven't done it yet, but going to replace the slave cylinder on my clutch later this week. It's starting to be difficult to shift into first and reverse, and at 90k miles, the slave cylinder is overdue.
Thanks for this video, looks to be so much easier than my last Super Duty F250 hydraulic unit. New clutch slave delivered today, it's going in on Friday. About 91k on the original slave unit, only 15k on the new clutch from the clutch recall.
