So you are on to something. Unless the VVT solenoid was bleeding off too much oil pressure, it wouldn't be responsible for the cam shaft not following its desired position. Jeep threw the CEL on its favorite hill. Same issue. Dad and I logged it with a scan tool and bank 1 intake cam is not...
So far they have replaced a cam phaser actuator PN 5047788AD and a solenoid-variable valve lift PN 5047897AC.
I wouldn't call it rough idle. A normal person may not even notice it. It is about the slightest shudder someone could notice. It does not show up in the tach. I can just feel it...
They had it for two weeks this time. They found a leaking variable valve timing solenoid and replaced it. When I got it back I knew it was still messed up because it had a slight shake at idle and was still down on power. Second day rolling into the Jeeps least favorite hill it threw the CEL...
Dealer replaced bank 1 intake cam phaser solenoid. CEL came on the next day. Power got progressively worse. It's back at the dealer for the 3rd time. I told them I read about a loose oil gallery bolt behind the cam phasers that was a common problem. Not sure what the progress is right now.
Took it to the dealer last week. They updated to the next calibration version and drove it three times to see if it would throw the code. It didn't so they had me pick it up. Service ticket was exremely lacking in detail. I questioned how it could be fixed if it ran fine for 50k miles and...
Anyone got this code. I have noticed random hesitation under medium highway load lately. In fact there is one part of the drive where I'm starting to head up a hill that it seems to hit more often than not. One day last week it finally threw the code in the title. I cleared it and it hasn't...
I don't know what V8 you installed, but mine does not pull hard at all. First time I've had to downshift on hills since I had a 4 banger. Man I would love to have a 4.x L V8 or the diesel.
No regrets, but to say it pulls hard is an exaggeration of an exaggeration.
I have 35x10.50s, 2" lift, MT and my lie o meter runs around 18. When I've done the hand calculations before the bigger tires and speedo correction lie o meter was around 1 mph high.
Anyone else had a warning pop up while pavement pounding in 2wd that the 4 wheel drive system needs to be serviced and the sway bar won't disconnect? I have 3,000 miles left in my warranty. It's happened twice.
Called Jeep. No loaner. My wife had a lemon Silverado and got a loaner every...
You have to have the license because to .gov (FCC) says you have to have the license. Whether they enforce it or not is unknown. It's up to you on whether you want to be legit or not.
The solution is seriously to reduce the torque? We paid for a shit amount of torque and I'm not sure we have ANY fucking torque to spare.
Unacceptable solution.
