The best purchase I made was the bestop soft doors and Lange coyote mirrors . I don’t have a garage so I can’t pick and choose my days. They take less than 30 seconds to toss both in the bed and I’m good to go, if a storm pops up still covered.
I would do sliders next even if it’s just rubicon take off ones. You can get over an obstacle without lockers or 37s, but it’s tough to unmangle the side of your truck.
Can someone with these post a photo in the dark from standing in the bed looking back? Compared to reverse lights if possible. Wondering how well these will work to illuminate the area backing down the boatramp at night
I went off-roading on club runs with the owner a few times in the first couple years he started business. Seemed like a nice guy and they have been in business for 10 years.
I never had them do any work on my truck at the time as I did all my own, but they did a lot of work to a friend of...
For what it’s worth I have the soft doors and they have been great for my purposes. I keep them in the bed with a plastic tote underneath with the back window in and roll the bed cover over them.
I have a more detailed post on them here...
I actually just helped a friend install the quadratec kit on his JL. It’s 100 times easier and better in every way than the mopar kit i did on my truck. Install was so painless.
The soft top closes up pretty quick. I debated buying a cover for mine as I don’t have a garage either. I ended up going with soft doors. They were more expensive but it takes less than a minute to take them from the truck bed and throw them on. I get to work throw them back on the keep dust out...
You could add one of those QI charging pockets between the seat and center console. And save some cutting. Or add a Rokk scanstrut type mount to hold it up.
I always like to try something new.
The mixed drink cocktail go to is now four roses. I try to keep a bottle of that in stock. You can’t beat the big bottle price and it’s still pretty good.
Also I would like to see some sort of easy compatibility with some sort of rifle securing system. Maybe just a couple extra holes in the right place’s so I could drop in a rubber clamp system so my rifle wouldn’t be sliding around and I wouldn’t need to spend time modifying your product...
The smaller aux storage is cool. I would like to see that one have a combination lock. That way I could lock my keys/wallet/phone in that when I am parked at the beach/boat ramp and miles away or diving from shore and no doors on my truck.
*Even if the box itself is enough to block the key fob...
Well my dealer advised they ordered me a new unit. I still think it’s some sort of ground connection, as my whole radio will suddenly turn off and I get a popping feedback through the speakers, I just can’t replicate why. Throw the truck down a washboard and it’s fine. So I don’t think it’s a...
Guys I wheeled with had issues with wear overtime on street rigs with a ratcheting locker (Aussie and a lock rite?). If your on the road a lot you have to replace the pins and it becomes a wear item. Is the Detroit the same way?
In my old truck I had an elocker in the rear and with the front...
I would chuck that into an investment account if you don’t have one. Just play with a compound interest calculator and Google the average stock market return. In 10 years with no monthly contribution you can buy a pair of gladiators with the interest alone.
Don’t speculate go for a diverse...
I try to go to flagstaff a few times a year to a friends cabin in the area.
This fall we took the Jeep to Bar Harbor/Acadia. Then to moosehead for a week. Drove to the B-52 crash site, hiked Mt. Kineo then hit the bar at the bottom while waiting on the ferry.
I like the Mt. Washington trip...
