Factory was worth it to me too. Granted I have not seen the oculus at night but mine are great. Sometimes factory is great and this is a factory item (baked into the cost too) that was worth it. No out of pocket cost after and no time spent to work on all of it. Side note - if you’re doing the...
Hard to balance is not a lie!
@xcantuaj check out the new Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T. I have heard nothing but good things from everyone that is using them. Many are previous Nitto Ridge Grappler guys and have said after riding on the new Baja Boss they won't go back to the Nitto's. That...
Whoops, i put the the sale price same as normal price. I updated it. Side note, I wonder why all the PCMs are on sale for 100ish off. Are they about to come out with a newer AB model to replace the AA model?
Maybe, but that seems super high. If I recall MRTuning is stating somewhere are 70ft/lbs tq at the wheel for gains. I'm talking to MRTuning now about all of this and getting some clarification from his side on GDEs claims. I think the important thing to remember here is all the tuners are going...
Derate is for the whimps! Good to know though, I will make that call when I see the specs. I'm still leaning towards the MRTuning since that shuts off the EGR and I'm in FL where there are no yearly emissions tests. But I'm not sold on either so I really what to see what each has to offer.
GDE...
Beware of competitors who "Exceed axle limits" with their tunes and wreck your vehicle. Oh by the way our tune (GDE) will have more torque than what is specked for your axles but ours is safe because you can just control that with your foot.
***Edit*** Since you are chatting with them, we still need more details than this. Would you be able to ask GDE to provide what the specific “limits” are he’s speaking of, and provide them. I'm only asking because GDE seems to contradict what Jeep states they can handle. It could be he's doing...
That would be good. I wonder what changed on the backend (what road block cleared)? Prior you HAD to send in your ECM to be cloned even if you bought a backup. Now that he is able to just make one and ship off gives me a smidge of hope that maybe they cracked the lock on them or something.
Nice! Any specs on the tune and parameters around getting it done? MRTuning just announced that you will no longer need to send your ECM in to get it done even if you buy an extra (to swap between tuned ECM and stock ECM) as was the case before. Now you can buy a tuned ECM and just have it sent...
Lo that is a refreshing bit of honest! It's always funny when I see guys with the 3.6 go to 37s and swear up and down everything feels stock!
Looks sharp though! What lift did you go with?
Point is though, there is no real lift otherwise because you have shocks that are for a 1” lift already. Extensions is your only option and it will remove that sweet riding Mojave suspension already setup for ya!
You just bought a Mojave. If you want a lift cancel and get a different trim. What makes the Mojave expensive is the super nice Fox shocks on the ride. If you do a lift you’re tossing those. As Clayton said, shock extensions are an option and some are using them but it’s not ideal and not a true...
I've got fox shocks on order for my Clayton lift. I think I got a helluva deal on them. The total for the Fox Performance Elite Series 2.5 Reservoir 2-3" for front and rear at $2,200.
I got the Fox 2.0 ATS Steering Stabilizer for $354.
Stabilizer is on back order but I can rock the stock for now...
@Clayton Off Road does the 2.5" overland plus kit come with a level stance or does it maintain a rake?
Also for Clayton or anyone else... has anyone noticed a need to get front coil spring isolaters like RockJocks to put in the perch and help with bowing, or do the Clayton springs not bow?
What’s the deal with the oiled vs dry filter? I read somewhere that oiled filters aren’t good with turbos but don’t understand why. Now this MAF sensor thing has me more confused.
Does the dry filter provide the same gains as the pro guard 7? The pro guard 7 has the torque/HP increases noted...
Glad you pointed that out. I have the 2.5” Overland Plus on order with the 2-3” Fox Elite series shocks. If there is an issue I may just get brake extensions now. I assume if they are right now then when doing some articulation they could be a lot worse?
@Clayton Off Road any input on this?
