  1. Help with water tank plumbing

I have this 10.5 gal tank by the cab. Looking for help with setup; hose, fittings, etc. I plan to make two hose routes, one gravity fed and one with a pump. I would like to terminate both routes at the rear by the fridge (see photo) with quick disconnects. Would appreciate any water system...
  2. Looking for clear plastic storage bins with straight sides, like Wolf Pack boxes

I plan to put these bins on a slide. Looking for clear plastic bins that don't have handles that stick out like the ones in the picture. If the sides were straight, I could make use of those few inches between the boxes and the fridge. I wish Wolf Pack boxes came in clear. Anyone know of...
  3. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

Finished wiring the house battery today!! I bolted a piece of 1/2" plywood to the 813 molle panel so I could screw the components to the wood. Have the Renogy DCC50, breaker from the house battery, breaker to the distribution panel, on/off switch for the starter battery, ANL fuse under the...
  4. Renogy LiFePO House (Dual) Battery Install

@Wolf Island Diver I used your layout as a basis for my own design. I bolted a piece of 1/2" plywood to the 813 molle panel so I could just screw the components to the wood. Have the Renogy DCC50, breaker from the house battery, breaker to the distribution panel, on/off switch for the starter...
  5. Can I butt splice a solar panel wire?

Thanks for chiming in Bill, and Hank and Joe. I've had a boat for 30 years and have done hundreds of marine heat shrink connections. I have never dealt with solar and wasn't sure if there was something special about it. I didn't think there would be, but had to make sure. Thanks!!
  6. Can I butt splice a solar panel wire?

Installing a Renogy flexible panel on top of the RTT. The lead wires are too short to route under the RTT to make a MC4 connection. I really don't want the MC4's hanging out on the top of the RTT (wind, rain, UV). I will use metal connectors with a heavy-duty crimp tool and solder the ends...
  7. Cable Selection & Critical vs Non-Critical Voltage Drop - Which Do I Use?

That makes complete sense. Never thought about what was being powered. Thought it had to do with system integrity or something, IDK... Thanks for the reply.
  8. Cable Selection & Critical vs Non-Critical Voltage Drop - Which Do I Use?

I'm using the Blue Sea wire selection chart to determine cable size for the primary run from start battery to house battery in the bed. The run will be between 15 and 20 feet. I have a 120AH battery, 200W solar panel, Renogy DCC50S charge controller. I'm not sure whether to use the...

Installed Overland Pro's Wraptor 4K Awning For anyone with an iKamper... I flipped the awning brackets down and moved the iKamper over about 1 inch. It clears the bracket by about 1/2 inch. My OCD cringes with the offset RTT, but the awning kinda balances it out.
  10. SCORE! - Found an Ironman 40L Vertical Tank for $149 vs $229!

I wanted this tank, but Ironman 4x4 has been out of stock for a couple months or more. I called yesterday and they said "maybe next month", so I started searching. I found it at Nomad Overland Adventures in WA for only $149 and free shipping vs Ironman at $229!! He said they have two in...
  11. Renogy LiFePO House (Dual) Battery Install

What brand circuit breakers are those? I see a wide range of prices for the same looking breaker. That's not something to go cheap on, but don't want to pay inflated price if they're really all the same. Why is the fridge breaker different? Does it do something different than the others?
  12. Oily residue on rear frame?

I don't top off the tank, so not that. The tire shine is a good possibility. I would have never thought of that. I just looked again and three of the four wheel wells have this same residue. And yes, it was detailed just a few weeks ago. I will still clean it up and watch it. Thanks to...
  13. Oily residue on rear frame?

Great idea, thanks!! Will clean that up and watch.
  14. Renogy LiFePO House (Dual) Battery Install

@Wolf Island Diver - Does the Renogy DCDC 50 have the ability to "dial down" the charge current? Some brands have this ability, but I don't see that with Renogy. I want to get the KickAss 120AH Slim battery which has a 50A max charge but recommended charge of 25-40. I may add a second battery...
  15. Oily residue on rear frame?

I can't say this is new, but I just noticed it. Driver side near rear tire, the frame has an oily residue patch. I inspected the brake line and it's all dry. There is an axle vent tube that terminates in that area, but it is also dry. Any ideas?
  16. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

Installed the @813 Fabrication & Design full bedside molle panels. Except for having to remove the AC Ammo Slide and Cupboard, and loosen the canopy mounts, the install was easy and took about three hours. I have a DIY 3/4" bedplate, so I emailed Jeremy several times with measurements to...
  17. Seat Jackers

Put the shorty on both seats and have a dead pedal. I'm 6' 1" and do a lot of road trips. Leg fatigue is considerably less. A huge improvement. Definitely worth it!!

Rear seat delete and DIY platform, finally finished. Writeup here: https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/forum/threads/rear-seat-platform-after-rear-seat-removal-rear-seat-delete.24177/post-1170712
  19. Rear Seat Platform (After Rear Seat Removal - Rear Seat Delete)

Here is my variation on the design. I used 2x6 to make it deeper and so the top would cover the bump-out where the subwoofer is. Used a longer one on the passenger side so I didn't have the middle framing blocking the compartment. The cutout behind the driver is for 1) the dog to get in and...
  20. Battery & Solar System Design Help

I watched a couple of "takedowns" of the LiTime battery. Overall, it's well built, but lacks some features (low temp cutoff). A Victron temp sensor will fix that. The BMS unit is basic. It's a decent battery for the price. This guy is good at takedowns!!
