Weight, space, and cost savings is nice, but is the quality there? Getting a great price on something that doesn't last is what I"m worried about. I"ll spend some time reading the comments on that LiTime battery tonight.
I talked to Renogy yesterday about my planned setup using the SolarHawk...
I saw that one and found this one with a lot of reviews and answered questions.

I wonder about the quality compared to known vendors like KickAss, Battle Born, Renogy, etc.
I'm glad you mentioned the heat. I'm in FL. I'll keep that in mind.
Where did you find the mini 100ah battery for $300? That's a deal. I'm also considering batteries in the cab. I have a DIY platform that has plenty of space. I just can't wrap my head around how to run all the wires...
How did you get the solar panel wires into the canopy?
I looked hard at the KickAss system, but I didn't want to take up space in the main bed area. And I wanted just a little more than 100AH so the fridge will run for two days without any charge.
This battery and tray will fit between the...
Thanks everyone for the replies!! My system can be minimal to start, but expandable. I have an IceCo VL45ProS and a couple lights now. I can charge phones from the IceCo and in the cab. I may add a heater or AC and water pump at some point.
Here is what I'm thinking so far.
KickAss 120AH...
I wish there was a sub-forum specifically for battery and solar systems. I've searched extensively and have not found what I'm looking for. I'm a novice at battery systems and could use some help with basic design, component selection, etc. I have decided on the KickAss Slimline 120AH battery...
I got this Viair 88P. Took about 20 minutes to air up all 4 from 15 to 40. Good enough for an occasional air-up and doesn't take up much space.

The box is unopened.
Make your own bed plate! I bought two pieces so I could screw one up, but I didn't, so have an extra. This 5 x 5 Baltic Birch is very hard to find. I used the one I cut for my Gladiator to draw a template on this one. Ready to cut, coat with bedliner, and bolt on. Picture shows the cut...
I have searched the forum best I can and have not turned up any good intel.
I want to make a DIY slide using slide rails that bolt directly to the bed plate rather than the kind that have to be in a cabinet. All the premade products are too expensive and I only want something that's about 24"...
I have a bed plate, so from the bed plate to bottom of the cupboard is 18.5 inches.
From the Trail Rail to the edge of the cupboard is 11.25 inches (depth of cupboard).
LAST UPDATE: After the Jeep sat overnight, the "battery charging" message was gone. Apparently the dealer was correct, it had to "sleep" for at least 4 hours to reset. ESS works now, problem fixed!!
Hats off to my local dealer for going the extra mile and making sure the batteries failed so...
UPDATE: Couple days after dealer said batteries were okay, I was still getting the "charge battery" message. Back to dealer, they tested the battery again, it was okay again. When I picked it up, the advisor said they have seen this before (Jeep says somethings' wrong, but dealer can't find...
I have read a bunch of posts about the stock 110v being modified sine wave that doesn't work with an EcoFlow type battery. I want to do something to be able to use the 110v outlets. Can the stock inverter be replaced (where is it)? Is there a "modified to pure converter" or adapter? I've...
