  1. Sale at Green Diesel Engineering

Does it get rid of the goofy shifting when casually accelerating through gears 1-3 … i swear the shifting algorithm has too many inputs for not own good … JUST GO!
  2. Sale at Green Diesel Engineering

What is this alien technology you speak of ??? What else can it do ???
  3. Sale at Green Diesel Engineering

Right!!! I hadn’t seen an oil sample since … GDE has been around a long time and strikes me as a quality service. EOC does what I want however I’m not feeling the quality, haha…
  4. Sale at Green Diesel Engineering

The RAM folks mentioned that fuel dilution is an issue with GDE, soot in the intake should be reduced with more use of the low pressure (filtered) EGR. However I wouldn’t expect the oil soot to change much. I been teeter tottering GDE, EOC Stage 1 (EGR and DPF disabled) or the whole enchilada...
  5. Wavy reflection / paint truckbed

Also check the gas door area from your rear view mirror! Sorry, you can’t unsee it. there is a vertical seam running from the rear of the fuel door, straight up… all 3 of my gladiators had it … I was entertaining a quality paint job in bikini metallic… perhaps in a decade when my white factory...
  6. Re-gearing in AZ …

Not sure I agree, I am paying for a service to install my parts. Like when I have a stack of parts for my handyman to install at my home … I do not use repair shops often, but I commonly provide my own parts. anyways, I get the reasons why they don’t want customer provided parts.
  7. Re-gearing in AZ …

I get that, but I am actually supplying better parts. But counterfeit parts are not that big a deal, especially because I can get the gears from the dealer … I called a couple dealers, jeep specific shops, I didn’t think of a general driveline repair shop. The dealer was actually the cheapest...
  8. Re-gearing in AZ …

Perfect, I have an Amazon shopping cart with gears, install kits, diff covers and chromoly shafts, all DANA parts for about 1100. 2300 would be GREAT! Might start calling around Southern California, oddly enough, paint and auto repair seem to be better, cheaper and more plentiful…
  9. Re-gearing in AZ …

Anyone know a good shop to perform a re-gear in the Phoenix area? I am getting quotes from $3600 to $6000 to re-gear my rubicon axles … it’s so bad, I’m literally considering getting a Ultimate Dana 60 Semi Float rear and a regular ultimate Dana 44 front axle set. It’s about 10k and I can sell...
  10. Diesel Tuners Indicted for smuggling...

On second thought … banks was supplying the military with 630T engines which are the gen 1 ecodiesel motors. Be nice to take a proven tune and tweak it for use on our PCM. I am really wanting to tune but none of these vendors give me the warm and fuzzies. Meanwhile my ecodiesel factory tune is...
  11. Diesel Tuners Indicted for smuggling...

Now if we can only get that ā€œmilitaryā€ tune … I bet their tune makes less power, but more reliable and I’m sure as šŸ’© they don’t have all the torque reducing Nanny’s
  12. Broken driver rear most body mount bolt

How much torque did you apply to the bolt??? I had a torque wrench set to 85ft/lbs to losen the bolts on my other 2 gladiators, so I made sure not to apply more than 80 falls. I used a smooth constant motion. No heat, no broken bolts, just a lot of effort and a good workout… oh, and lots of...
  13. Diesel Tuners Indicted for smuggling...

I think you guys need to define ā€œemissionsā€ā€¦ the fact that diesel makes soot tells me that the carbon is coming out solid and will just go into the soil. I’d imagine CO2 is much less because the C in CO2 is in another form. Then we need to ask is CO2 even bad??? At 350ppm it makes up about .004%...
  14. Sell or keep? JTRD Mopar lift kit

Actually, ALL parts of the lift are available from Mopar. I bought all the parts new, except the shocks from my local dealer for about $500 bucks. I installed the ā€œkitā€ on my first (of 3) gladiator(s). Soo, a bonus for you, but not worth keeping as ā€œspare partsā€, those you can get cheaply as...
  15. Diesel cooling options and ideas

Hey guys, check this out ... I am not a fan of poorly designed performance parts, so why not a high performance OEM part, made by ZF... BMW GA8HP75 GAHP76 Auto Trans Oil Pan and Filter Kit - ZF 24119503407 | FCP Euro This is on my list when i perform my first tranny fluid dump. Just need...
  16. Keep the mud on your tires NOT your sound system.

To me the HK were overly bright, but they mellowed out. I now need to buy the matching rear …
  17. Diesel cooling options and ideas

Good man, I was gonna do the same… we really have a need to shed some heat … a transmission pan would be an easier sell since a ton of other vehicles use this transmission. Then again, car guys don’t go to banks for parts, they got the diesel truck world locked down.
  18. Diesel - Will i regret regearing to 4.88?

That’s the most aggressive I’ve heard anyone doing. I am thinking the same, I have 35’s and tow a trailer, HOWEVER, I know I’ll be on 37’s eventually, if the gearing sucks, I’ll move even sooner 😬.
  19. My review of BFG KO3's after 2500 miles

Indeed, outer edges of my lugs haven’t hit the ground as far as I can tell by the dust patch on my tires … I gotta get my lazy butt to reprogram the TPMS for 30psi. I’ll check the tread depth for evenness every rotation …
  20. My review of BFG KO3's after 2500 miles

There’s a lot of speculation and probably pulling too many elements into one ā€œquestionā€. Bottom line, you do not need to run at max PSI. 30-32psi is fine. Theoretically 30psi on a C load should be about the same as 30psi on a D-E-F load tire, the air does the supporting, the tire just holds the...
