It's my daily driver and I don't tow. No issues, just came up as a regular service that they wanted to prepare me for within the next 2 oil changes. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't getting scammed by the dealer.
They were talking about the drain and service. But they're saying I need to have it flushed to do the drain and service. Dealer says $1200 and a Jeep Mechanic that I trust says $700.
I have a '21 Willys with 45k miles on it and I'm being told I need to have my auto transmission flushed and have the fluids replaced. Of course it has to be done very soon, lol. Has anyone done a transmission flush on their gladiator or am I being duped into needing service I don't need?
So I was really weight conscious and decided to go a little old school. Went with Quadratec Baja wheels. They come in three different colors. I went with gun metal grey because I thought it would look good with the snazzleberry. I checked a lot of wheels out and with going to 35's, I didn't...
I sent a message to the Discount Tire Rep that is in the Forum and he worked with my local store. You might want to check with him to see if you can get some kind of discount.
Running Toyo AT3's 35*11.5/17's with just a leveling kit and have not experienced any rubbing. My wheels are a -6 offset. If you stay with the stock wheels, Mickey Thompson makes the Baja Boss in (255/85R17) 35*10/17, if you do you're afraid of the poke.
Having sat in a brand new Colorado at the recent Houston Auto Show, I would stay with my '21 Gladiator any day. It's a nice vehicle, it just didn't say buy me and that's the most important thing for me when I look at a vehicle.
I have the BAK 4Xs and have been extremely pleased. Even had a warranty issue and they sent a new one out within a week. My son liked it so much that he got one for his RAM. What I like about it the most, is that when I roll it up, it does not block my view out of the rear window. I know nothing...
I went with the Toyo Open Country AT3's in the 35*11.5/17's. The only mod I did was add a leveling kit. There's no rubbing and the ride was a massive improvement over the Firestone MT's my Willys came with.
So I checked out what it would cost to convert to the tail lights and add the racetrack lighting and it's approximately $1K. A bit steep after seeing all the issues people have had with the tail light conversion. Will have to see how this pans out on other Gladiators before I pull the trigger.
I have a '21 Willys as my daily driver. With 44K miles, it's still a blast to drive especially with the ability to flip the sun rider top open before I get going. I did a leveling kit, bilstien shocks, and went to Toyo AT3's 35*11.5*17. Absolutely hated the Firestone mud tires. Super noisy after...
My first was a '99 TJ with a manual and the anemic 4, but it still holds a special place in my heart. Man it was a blast to drive in the snow. Also had a '14 JKU that was followed up by a '10 JK. The Gladiator is my 4th Jeep and it's been a great vehicle.
Having had soft tops on other Jeeps, I think the hardtop with the sun rider top would be quieter. I agree with Charles236 that it is a bit noisier than having the freedom panels on, but it's nothing that affects how much I enjoy the sun rider top.
I had the Stinger Heigh 10 radio installed and its been a good upgrade. I had already upgraded my speakers with Kicker 6*9's in the soundbar and 6*5's in the dash.
I had the 7" radio and the base audio system in my Willys. It's ok but when you take the freedom panels off, you cannot hear the radio very well. I upgraded the OEM speakers in the soundbar and dash with Kicker 6*9's and 6*5's. Also added a Kenwood Amp. The system sounded so much better than...
