Are you putting an amp on the dash and sound bar speakers?
I have the factory amp right now may change things later. As for the sound bar I replaced with the 6x9's

Worth it? Yes, its pretty good. I have a Rubicon loaded and came with the Alpine system. I replaced the dash 3.5 with better 3.5 Alpine S series. The sound bar looks like 6x9s but get grills off and the stock ones are like 4" or 4.5". Replaced those with Alpine S series and while I had speakers out I rolled the inside of the sound bar with Dynamat sound deading material and added some pollyfil. It helped. I am planning on keeping stock deck adding Diamond Audio 3.5' speakers in front, 6.5 in the knee panel and 6.5 Diamond Audio 3 ways to sound bar. Add a Diamond 10' powered sub under rear seat and an Alpine 6 channel amp which I hope will give it a bit more juice. I generally listen to rock so I don't need it to thump I just want more power when top is off.
BTW I think the Alpine premium system is considerably better than the top line JBL I had in Tacoma.

It just depends on how much of a priority car audio is for you.

I honestly don't have a problem with the base stereo driving on the highway with the top back and mud tires. I just crank it up a little more.

Doors off would be more of an issue, but at that point you have a lot of wind noise to overcome.

I own a 2021 Mojave with the Alpine 8.4 premium sound system . It's ok to say the least , my 2005 Xterra had a Factory Rockford Fosgate system in it and was miles above this so called "premium " sound system. Some one back aways got a hold of speakers from both non premium and premium and they were the same . The only difference in the two is premium has a woofer under the back seats. I find it to lack in Bass big time and the factory head unit only has
3 EQ settings so adjustments there are very limited. So I upgraded the upper dash speakers with Cerwin vega 3.5" 2 way coaxial # H735 and got the larger pod kit for the knee speakers and replaced them with Cerwin vega 6 1/4" # V465's so now mid and highs are much better. Then installed 6x9's in the sound bar with Cerwin vega 3 way coaxial speakers # H7693 plus a aftermarket adapter kit. Now I have some Bass that you can hear and FEEL. I am now as I type this installing a Cerwin vega 10" powered subwoofer # VPAS10 V2 behind the left rear seat and it slides right into that space so well no mounting hardware needed. Now I should get what I am looking for with out spending to much for a
much better sound system.
Update : I got the cerwin vega VPAS10 subwoofer installed and used the Skar audio install kit # skar8manl-ofc it's a 8ga power & ground ofc wiring kit that completed the install. I can say we'll worth the money and love the extra bass it provides. I ran the power wire down the right side out the fire wall factory grommet, it's really not that hard this is the 3rd wire running out that way. Then ran the speaker wires one up the RH pillar and the other up the LH pillar up to the sound bar and made my connections there I did end up drilling two small holes to get the wires in the sound bar and had some connectors to connect them to the two wires that where not being used because I install only the 6x9's in the sound bar . Some work involved pulling panels but we'll worth it to me and my OCD !

I had the 7" radio and the base audio system in my Willys. It's ok but when you take the freedom panels off, you cannot hear the radio very well. I upgraded the OEM speakers in the soundbar and dash with Kicker 6*9's and 6*5's. Also added a Kenwood Amp. The system sounded so much better than the base system. After awhile though I wanted a bigger screen so I upgraded the head unit to a Stinger 10" display. Looks awesome and I love the bigger screen.
