Wish I had the space and budget for that! I mean, who wouldn't want ice cream at camp? I'm sure you could adjust the settings on the freezer side to operate as a fridge; not sure if the opposite is true on the fridge side.
I have a Dometic CFX3 35 in my rig. It's on a Goose Gear seat delete on the driver's side, and also have it hardwired with the Dometic kit. At camp I plug it into a Jackery 500. It's been nothing but great for my use, and I particularly like the ability to control it via the app. I've had it...
Not calling out anyone on here, just referencing a couple earlier posts on the topic where full RTT's etc. were mentioned. Sorry if I offended, wasn't my intent.
1000% this IMO. My Rubicon is effectively stock (no lift, 33"s) for this reason, and I've taken on some rather rocky trails with no issues. You're not alone under that bridge my friend.
Also, I'm one of those who's RTT and bed rack stay on full time. I don't have a garage, or anyone who could...
Top Tier 87 octane. I usually fill up at Unocal 76 near me as its historically the least expensive, but otherwise not brand selective so long as they have Top Tier gas. MPG is usually 17.5-18, built for overlanding (bed rack, RTT, etc), but otherwise stock JTR.
I'm like you man. I was there in 2019 and the camping area was far too people'y for my taste. Back to OP's question, I will likely attend, but not camp on site.
Like you, I've been fortunate to have crossed paths with him and this isn't his style. I think the title of this thread is a bit of a misnomer; the video is Jay reviewing the vehicle and the builder. I don't believe it's actually his.
I saw one of these here in So Cal a couple weeks ago. OD green, with limb risers, but otherwise identical to this. It definitely commands attention, but its not for me.
Looks like Hauk Offroad offers a snorkel for the diesel now.
Fellow desert dweller as well, so I feel your pain. I went with the AEV snorkel, SyKlone precleaner, then aFe Power Filter. This combination thus far has worked well for me, and I think the precleaner makes the biggest difference.
Installed make shift ladder mounts for my Freespirit Odyssey RTT. I have the previous gen tent, which came with a telescoping ladder with hooked ends where you were expected to just hang those over edge of the tent. I found that it dug into the tent fabric too much, and at times hinder the...
