Same here.... I drive 2 - 3 times a week and it is getting louder for me as well. One day I will get compelled to take it in or grab some stick on weatherstrip at Home Depot...haha
Haha... I got I wire with tape down the hole but it feels a bit like Ice Fishing. Poking in the dark. I did her a little tinkle when I turned the fan on but after that it was quiet. Hopefully it stays out of the way somewhere ?
Hey @kevman65 I did just try that and it went all the way down the rabbit hole. Are you saying theirs a fairly shallow bottom to that hole? I shined a light and see nothing inside but a nice funnel shape leading to a deep bottomless hole.
So I'm putting the memory card back in my dash cam and it pops out, bounces on the dash and dropped down the heater vent! I can get another card, but do I need to be concerned with damage to a fan or anything. I can't find a good diagram as to where that vent goes and definitely not tearing the...
Thanks @DanW I'll do that. Should I go to a midrange or premium or stick with the regular fuel? I live in the hills so I rarely find myself in that floaty spot where the ping happens, I'm usually burning up a good incline or doing 70 in the highway without hesitation ;-) you know I have to...
So I did run out the tank of cheap gas and ran through 3/4 of a tank of TT fuel and the ping is still there. For the most part I don't notice it but there is this one road with a concrete wall on one side so I can hear the engine really well. It's a slight incline and I'm cruising at around...
Update.... I finally got down to the "Limited Milage" warning on my gas gauge. I filled up at a Chevron (Top Tier) and the ping is no more. I'll keep trying to replicate the conditions and see if I can force it to do it. Hopefully I'm done with this issue ;-)
$3.69 a gallon for regular! I did...
Update on my story..... I aired down from the dealer 40psi to 36 and the ride and steering are so much better. It cruises smoothly on the freeway with little need for the small adjustments I was having to do before. The only downside is it picked up a little softness on high speed turns...
Hauled some pegboard in the proper fashion
Took my old garage roof to the dumps
Picked up some 14 footers
Forgetting my 2x4s for the bed and improvising on a plywood haul.
Long busy day..... I love this truck!
The drop-ins are pretty indestructible. This has been holding up surprisingly well. The stock plastic guard around the bed top edge is getting way more damaged than the WeatherTech bed-liner. I just wish it went a little higher up the sidewalls.
You guys are killing me with your $1.89 gas! It's $2.99 here in Northern California for the crap stuff and $3.49 for Top Tier. Thanks to @cecaa850 I checked the clean new Safeway and they are not listed on the Top Tier listing but the super sketchy Valero with the bullet proof windows down the...
Yup thats them.... haha. Where I live it's good for the basics but a trip to the local produce store and meat market are always included. My sister in-law used to work for the company in Nevada and never had anything good to say.
