The tow and payload capacities in the truck will be suspect. That will be the leading narrative out there. The 2.0t cannot move the truck, charge the battery, and tow an added 5,000 lbs+ for long durations effectively. In the Wrangler people don't really shop payloads or towing so much.

You may be able to see if the front drive shaft is spinning or not. That would for sure tell you the transfer case slipped out.

NVM the oxygen sensor is static on these engines They put a camera into the cylinders and 3 has significant scoring. Blown. New engine at 300 miles. Lemon

The shop foreman who had been away 2 weeks is now on the case. Day 23 now. He noticed that the oxygen sensor voltage was stuck, which is weird it isn't throwing a code, but it isn't supposed to do that I guess. Not sure how that would impact only cylinder 3 but it's at least a lead.

Sounds like an electrical short. Something came loose, grounded and shorted, and gave up the ghost. When you disconnected the main the aux was still probably drawing down to dead. Really sounds like a short.

You just need a cheap hood pin switch that comes with every after market alarm. You could in theory tie it into the real hood pin.

I would not do it for very long. Too narrow of a wheel for 12.5's
