  1. Sideswiped. Now what?

I’ll be shocked if they pay to replace that wheel vs refinishing it. The only time they approve wheel replacement is if it’s bent, structurally compromised, or has major cosmetic damage. That’s minor cosmetic damage with no structural damage. Every reputable body shop has a wheel refinishing...
  2. Sideswiped. Now what?

Your stock Jeep would look ridiculous with a fender chop till you put much larger tires on it. I would skip that. It’s too nice looking, new, and valuable. Let them fix it right. Plus, it’s very difficult to get a direct repair facility to work with you like that. I handled USAA auto claims for...
  3. Uhhh...Acela Trucks just launched a 2-door Jeep Comanche on a Gladiator!!

I’ve said that twice now. They will probably ignore the third time it’s posted also.
  4. Upgrade to Sound System .... Crutchfield?

The total system output is 480W. 480 peak, but it’s plenty. I don’t put the treble up past 2 or it hurts my ears. No one that I know of uses heated LED lights. Even my Audis and BMWs I’m pretty sure hav never had heaters on their LEDs and they cost quite a bit more and speaking of cost, they...
  5. Uhhh...Acela Trucks just launched a 2-door Jeep Comanche on a Gladiator!!

They are probably overwhelmed and might not respond. They’re only outfitting commercial clients at this time.
  6. Jeep Gladiator Rubicon Towing Failure - Sensor Seal Rupture - Disappointed

You have a diesel? They have a lower tow rating because they overheat when towing. The 3.6ls cooling system does much better. Mine runs hotter in traffic than towing 6k lbs at 65-70, which I’ve done fairly regularly for several years. The coolant, transmission and oil temps never go over 205. In...
  7. Uhhh...Acela Trucks just launched a 2-door Jeep Comanche on a Gladiator!!

I read in another article that it’s only available for commercial customers. At least initially.
  8. Sideswiped. Now what?

I used to handle USAA claims. They’ll say it’s not drivable and have you drop it off and put you in a rental today.
  9. Upgrade to Sound System .... Crutchfield?

lol if you can’t hear the alpine system with the top and doors off on the hwy you’re more deaf than I am. I’ve driven many a road trip from Raleigh to the beach (2+ hrs) doing 80-90 the whole way down I-40 with music bumping the whole time. It’s not that much louder with the hard top off at...
  10. Upgrade to Sound System .... Crutchfield?

If I had to pick two options that should be on every Gladiator purchase, it would be the Alpine option and the factory LED option. Both are unacceptably bad in base model form and expensive to upgrade properly. This is coming from someone with a fully loaded Gladiator who savors all of the...
  11. Upgrade to Sound System .... Crutchfield?

I’ve been using crutchfield since the late 90s when I first started driving. I got that magazine for decades. They give great help if you call too. Their website alone is great and the install stuff you get plus the instructions was always a game changer. I haven’t used them in years since stock...
  12. Ticking noise - is it the lifters/cams? 2023 3.6L

That sounds exactly like every 3.6l I’ve ever heard.
  13. Sarge Green next to '41 Green

I had a 96 XJ that was moss green. I got it new and it was the biggest POS I’ve ever owned, horribly unreliable and even needed a new engine under warranty, but it was really nice looking. 1996 Country with the upcountry package.
  14. Sarge Green next to '41 Green

I’ve seen the color plenty of times, but never next to Sarge.
  15. Sarge Green next to '41 Green

I like both colors, but 41 looks weird next to Sarge.
  16. 2022 AEV Gladiator Rubicon build

That’s cool. I have no complaints about my Warn winch plate, but they just give you some giant zip ties to use to hold it in place
  17. Consumer Reports LOL

That BS. I was civil and responded to everything he said and took the time to explain everything with first hand knowledge. Literally all based on first hand experience. In the US and in Korea. Now it’s all erased.
  18. Consumer Reports LOL

It’s such a huge problem. It’s unreal. It started off with their theta II engines and its most of their engines now. They claimed they fixed the 2.4L and 2.0l after the theta II, but they didn’t. They have issues with their other engine families too. It doesn’t matter if it’s NA or turbo or 4...
