  1. Consumer Reports LOL

One negative I’ll say about consumer reports is they recommended my girlfriend’s old Hyundai Sonata and she bought it on their recommendation and she liked the looks and drive. It did look and drive ok, but what a pile of junk. It was burning a qt of oil every 500 miles at 38k miles and Hyundai...
  2. well, that different.

It’s pretty wild watching from when some of us first got ours as early adapters to now and they’re just cheap used trucks and we see bullshit like that commonly. Sad progression.
  3. Ferris Bueller's day off?

There’s ZERO chance you’d be liable in this instance.
  4. Consumer Reports LOL

Glad I got dragged into your weird rant. How dare I want a vehicle that’s not hideous. šŸ˜‚
  5. Consumer Reports LOL

Well, we never said what type of Cadillac. Maybe she drives a 6 speed manual CT5-V Blackwing
  6. Consumer Reports LOL

I think he meant the gray haired lady in a Cadillac.
  7. Consumer Reports LOL

To be clear, I don’t want either one, but they look so bad. I hate anything that doesn’t have a separate bed and their car like ride height and tiny wheels make them look so bad. The absolute ugliest new vehicle on the market has got to be a base model maverick on steel wheels. 🤮 At least the...
  8. Consumer Reports LOL

The maverick is hideous. I don’t understand how so many people get past that. I’d drive a 2nd gen Ridgeline way before one of those.
  9. Consumer Reports LOL

Shit. They tow and haul more than that most people ever do with their F-150s.
  10. Consumer Reports LOL

The 5th Gen was super reliable and they are safe. Plus, I’ve noticed another positive with them. They seem to be primarily piloted by attractive women.
  11. Consumer Reports LOL

I never liked the 5th gen 4Runner. Boring is a great description. They just kinda lumber down the road with sloppy handling and they're pretty slow. They have two great things though. The roll down back window and they kept the 4.0l V6. Albeit slow, it’s a great engine. The first time I drove...
  12. Consumer Reports LOL

I’ve had a lot of issues with my Jeeps. That’s why I swear them off for years, but I always come back like a moron. lol.
  13. Consumer Reports LOL

wait, you really think that someone would get that upset over insulting a Jeep’s capabilities? I’m not even brand loyal. You have delusions of grandeur dude.
  14. Consumer Reports LOL

I’m just Fing with you dude. The outrage at least. I’ve been on Jeep forums since the Pirate and JU days. It takes a lot to upset me on the internets. jjj Bigrofl
  15. Consumer Reports LOL

That’s a very ignorant statement. it’s actually the most capable truck in its class. I can tell you first hand that it tows and hauls better than my Colorado, which actually tows pretty good, Also, how big do you want? It’s the same size and 1980s full sized trucks. It’s hardly compact. Are you...
  16. Heresy? road tires on a Rubicon? ETA- now a shock install

Good! I like mine better with them too.
  17. Any tricks for keeping new shocks compressed for install?

That’s a good point about the jacks and jack stands. Mine are barely long enough. Only one of my jacks is tall enough and I had to buy bigger jack stands when I got my Jeep. Risking my life with hobo freight. lol
  18. Any tricks for keeping new shocks compressed for install?

How long does it take you to jack up a vehicle? You can easily jack it up and put it on jack stands and have all four wheels off in 20 min. With the wheels off it’s a lot easily to access the shock bolts. Added bonus, I went ahead and rotated my tires too since it was due.
  19. Any tricks for keeping new shocks compressed for install?

That wasn’t directed at you in particular. It was all of the responses talking about ratchet straps and all.
  20. Any tricks for keeping new shocks compressed for install?

I don’t understand why y'all fight them. Let the suspension droop. I did it on the ground once. Never again.
