Sure it is. I'm with him on this. I might have test drove a blue haired Prius driver but I certainly wouldn't have ended up with one.
I think he meant the gray haired lady in a Cadillac.

Who died and made this a thread about Mavricks? 🤣

For the record, I like the Maverick. Considered one before the JT. Drove a 2.0t version, and decided I would just fall asleep behind the wheel from boredom. They drive too much like a car for my liking. Maybe when I retire, they might be ok, but I doubt it.

Well, we never said what type of Cadillac. Maybe she drives a 6 speed manual CT5-V Blackwing
I would prefer one who drives a 2014 LSA/6-speed CTS-V wagon, but I am a closet long roof lover.

Page 7 and we know what Geezers like, and what a blue hair mustache looks like.
I think antihero23 formally known as ladiesman217 is in love. Probably works as an enema tester for CR.🤮

My Gladiator has more rear room than my Tacoma LOL
THIS was one reason I chose the JT over the new(er) Tacos. I mean come on, the bed stayed the same size but the passenger space got smaller? Who tf does that to a TRUCK. Oh right, for people who spend more time on pavement ALONE. No really, how many Tacos do you see with more than one person in them vs not?

I wouldn't even classify the Ridgeline as a truck. It's more like an El Camino, or what I would call a hybrid SUV. Body on frame construction is designed for towing, payload, and better off road performance. A unibody is designed for comfort, handling, and fuel efficiency.

If you're going with a unibody, then maybe Honda should have taken the same approach that Ford took with the Maverick. Despite the Maverick being a unibody compact truck, Ford did a much better job making the Maverick look more trucklike. The Maverick is selling like hotcakes, but the Ranger is the true midsize truck.
I was tempted to mention the El Camino, but that was ALSO a body on frame, solid axle, 6' bed, lowered 2-door TRUCK. Yeah it was marketed as a CAR, but engineering wise, it was a truck. And I wasn't about to dis one of the coolest vehicles for function of its time, especially not against a Honda wannabe.

The maverick is not even reliable, they had 4 million recalled, yet claim it's only "1% of affected vehicles". 4 MILLION is only 1%? uhhhhh, no thanks FORD.

Nobody is mentioning the Hyundia Santa Cruz, better mpg, lower price, more features, better warranty, more power, and tbh, looks better too than the Ridgeline. Sure it's Korean, and their service dept is hit or miss...but function/value factor puts it above the rest for current production.

Heck my grandfather was considering trading his Z71 Colorado for one, and he's owned a 2 rangers, a tacoma, the colorado, an escape, and a couple muscle cars long ago. He said the fords were the least reliable, worst mpg, and boring vehicles he's driven. He to this day wishes he never sold the Tacoma (v6, 4x4, tpwing suspension, 470k miles, cracked frame, and sold for 7k WITH cracked frame, but to our knowledge...it's still running today. Found out the new owner got the frame replaced for free during the recall years ago).

To be clear, I don’t want either one, but they look so bad. I hate anything that doesn’t have a separate bed and their car like ride height and tiny wheels make them look so bad. The absolute ugliest new vehicle on the market has got to be a base model maverick on steel wheels. 🤮

At least the ridgeline has a separate bed now, sits higher and has better looking wheels. Or at least the appearance of a separate bed. I know it’s unibody.
THIS is what's killing vehicles: "ThEy NeEd To LoOk PrEtTy!" People wonder why they all look nice but drive like crap, have too many tech things distracting/taking over for the driver, and/or are not as reliable as the brand once was. This goes for ALL brands.

Take the "new" NSX, looks GREAT, but drives like absolute SHIT. There's ZERO PHYSICAL driver connection to any mechanical function, not steering, not throttle...not even the brakes! "BuT iT LoOkS sO gOoD!"
