Too many times I've seen Wrangler rated against unibody / front-wheel drive SUV's and be rated "worst SUV" based on highway manners, road noise and fuel efficiency.
That's true. In some states, the Wrangler is registered as a pickup due to body on frame construction.

wait, you really think that someone would get that upset over insulting a Jeep’s capabilities? I’m not even brand loyal. You have delusions of grandeur dude.
Um, it was your own words, with you flipping out like a basement dwelling keyboard warrior, not mine. I can only infer from what you provide, and what you provide is wild ass flailing verbal diarrhea.

Also, delusions of grandeur? Do you even know what that means? I do, and nothing I've said displays having delusions of grandeur. I'm convinced now that you have no idea what you're actually saying.

I am glad to see my post has gone 5 pages deep so far.

I do not care what Consumer Reports says about anything. Any vehicle I would be interested in is on their shit list. We all drive vehicles Consumer Reports hate. I feel pretty good about that.
I will say that Gladiator is not a great at anything, but it is good at everything. It is the Swiss Army Knife of vehicles. This is why I own one.

My first new vehicle ever was a 2020 Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro. The vehicle it replaced was a 2015 JK. I thought I was in high heaven for about 6 months until I realized how boring and mundane it was, and although very capable off road, it just didn’t seem as good as a good old Jeep. I sold it back to the dealer one year and 30k miles later for what I paid for it.
I love my 21 Gladiator with zero real issues to date.
My only issue is I think it has the turning radius my YJ, TJ, JK has and that screws up my parking game. šŸ™‚

Having crossed the threshold at around page 3 and continuing on I now christen this thread as the new entertainment thread.

May the arguing continue and may the bans be ever in your favor šŸ˜†

I brought some chairs for everyone else šŸ’ŗšŸ’ŗšŸ’ŗšŸ’ŗšŸ’ŗšŸ’ŗšŸ’ŗšŸ’ŗšŸ’ŗšŸ’ŗšŸ’ŗšŸ’ŗ
Chairs? Who needs chairs?!

People around here need jackets! The ones with buckles & straps.

If some Indian comes at me with a pillow, I'm gonna scream.

Here in Cali I think I’m registered as a Commercial vehicle. I’m just wondering what commerce I’m in. Oh well, once I figure out the mountain of paperwork I’ll get some DV plates and not have to worry about it. :CWL:

I never liked the 5th gen 4Runner. Boring is a great description. They just kinda lumber down the road with sloppy handling and they're pretty slow. They have two great things though. The roll down back window and they kept the 4.0l V6. Albeit slow, it’s a great engine. The first time I drove one was in 2010 when my 2010 Xterra was having larger tires put on it. It was part of the deal when I bought it and for some reason the dealership had 4Runner loaners. It was so damn boring that it made my Xterra seem down right sporty. Crazy how long they made that body style with minimal updates.

It actually handled a lot like my Overland did stock, which I absolutely hated. Too sloppy and way undervalved shocks.

Wifey has a 5th gen. I’m good with her being in a ā€œboringā€ off road vehicle. :CWL:

Seriously it is a pretty nice ride though. Feels safe. Doesn’t get great MPG but better than my Gladiator. And she likes it. Happy Wife = Happy Life.

The 5th Gen was super reliable and they are safe. Plus, I’ve noticed another positive with them. They seem to be primarily piloted by attractive women.

The 4-Runner was tops on my list for a new 4x4 until a few years ago I was renting a 4x4 truck or SUV for a trip and just by pure dumb luck they had a Gladiator on the lot. It was the high velocity yellow color and it looked so fucking ridiculous I just had to try it out. I immediately fell in love and forgot all about 4-Runners. Bought my own JT the next year.

I pray to God everyday Consumer Reports did not choose my wife. I would have Blue hair who drives a silver Prius instead of the Silver fox driving a Cadillac.😃
