Thanks! I appreciate hearing your experience. My tentative plan would be to add Fox Performance Elite 2.5 shocks, and bump stops with the Mopar Cast Iron Knuckles to create sort of a Rubijave. I would have purchased a Mojave but I was pretty picky about getting a manual transmission and I got a...
I'm looking for anyone who has added the Mojave Cast iron knuckles to a non Mojave. Was it worth it? Do you feel more comfortable bombing whoops and trails without the rest of the reinforced frame? Did you do it yourself? Was it a straightforward swap? Did you have a shop or the dealer install...
Do you have data that shows that? Because I've seen a lot of pizza cutter threads here and on the jlforum, plus the two videos I linked showing the science that shows otherwise that 255 (whether that's 255/75/17, 255/80/17 or 255/85/17) will be better performance off road, in the mud, in the...
I guess that I was conflating fishtailing with hydroplaning. What I was experiencing was loss of traction from hydroplaning. I'm pretty sold on going skinny. Originally wanted the 255/85R17 Baja Boss (load E), but its just added size and weight, less efficiency, and my use wouldn't benefit from...
I was pretty set on 265/70R17 Mickey Thompson Baja Boss Load XL at 44 lbs, but people have talked me into a load C tire, so I'm leaning towards the 255/75R17 BFG KO3 Load C at 49 lbs.
Stock is load C. I just think they are more geared toward off road. I wish I would've asked the dealer to swap them to the A/Ts. And the second thing is that they're heavy as all hell. 62 lb per tire so even with my 4.10 gearing they are constantly lugging up the hills I'm driving in the PNW...
You're right, there are some stock A/T options that reduce a good bit of weight, and I am considering that. But these two videos have convinced me that skinnier = better both for off-road and for wet road performance.
Plus, my last two camping trips have been flirting with the payload, if not...
I have a 2024 Rubicon MT that came with the 285/70/17 Falken M/T. The nicest thing I can say about them is that they have been fine, but I certainly haven't loved them. Originally I thought, I'll wait until they wear down and then look into upgrading so I don't waste money. Well, I'm heading...
According to the owner's manual "Under no circumstances should oil change intervals exceed 10,000 miles (16,000 km), 12 months or 350 hours of engine run time, whichever comes first." The 2020 user's manual said to change it after 4,000 miles if operated under "Severe Duty" which it defined as...
What's the part number of the 940w fan? Quick Google search came up with naught. Is it compatible with 3.6L gas engine or is it just for the eco diesel?
Not planning to give up on it. Bought this to be my last car, especially now that they discontinued the manual. Only future I envision I get rid of it would be to give it to my daughter when she turns 16.
I thought I followed the break in procedure prescribed in the manual. I'll try to give it...
Stock Rubicon tires. 285/75/17. The stock falken wild peak MTs are HEAVY. I want to swap them out for some lighter ATs but can't justify the price when I have a ton of wear left.
I know this is an old thread but this has not been my experience. I'm 7,000 miles into a 2024 Manual Transmission Rubicon with the 4.10 gearing and as much as I love my truck, 6th gear is unusable. Today in 6th gear it couldn't maintain 75MPH on a flat stretch of highway. I can't maintain 70MPH...
