  1. Can I improve the steering/driving experience any more?

lol it was a JKU and those don't fit 35's stock (and still flex).
  2. Can I improve the steering/driving experience any more?

It must be the 39's because I was on 35's (315 cooper stt pro) and it seemed those brackets were just a rock magnet. I'd roll off a rock and smash into it with the drop bracket repeatedly. I'll never buy or advocate for drop brackets after that.
  3. Can I improve the steering/driving experience any more?

Really, even after the rubicon? Sorry I'm in disbelief. How many bypasses? You didn't do the soup bowl, 100% guaranteed. You put your wheels on the high line in many cases on the rubicon, and then drop down off the high line. Rock sliders get used. I'm an hour away from the rubicon... The trail...
  4. Can I improve the steering/driving experience any more?

I'm a strong advocate against control arm drop brackets for anyone that wheels in rocks. I had some on my jeep for a few weeks and got them hung up on my first trip in the Sierra Nevada mountains.
  5. Blue DEF mfg date / exp date? Help

This is the only time I'll accept that metric does something better over measuring in bald eagles. 😂
  6. Blue DEF mfg date / exp date? Help

I assume that means it expires 2027-26-01 (Jan 26th, 2027). That's the most efficient way to format a date in a database or file structure so i admire any company that follows that format. lol

I like that it matches your jeep. 😂
  8. swaybar front disconnects...........

That's good to hear. I always left my falcon shocks on soft setting also and those absorbed bumps very well. I'll be happy if it's similar or better.
  9. swaybar front disconnects...........

Sorry to go off topic but how do you like the rocksport blacks? Did you get the adjustable ones? I have them on order, coming from Teraflex Falcon shocks in my last Jeep so I'm curious how they stack up in ride comfort.
  10. Rubicon Express JT7147NR

In my Wrangler, I started with a Rubicon Express lift kit. The year after, I removed it and replaced it with Metal Cloak because it didn't steer or ride very well. The RE lift I had came with control arm drop brackets and I was dragging those across rocks, getting hung up on my first outing...
  11. swaybar front disconnects...........

That's awesome. I would do that too but I just got the bill from them for my JTRD build, and I'll probably need to save all those pizzas to survive over the next year. 😂 (JK)
  12. swaybar front disconnects...........

Just FYI If you ever have a question or need support from Metal Cloak, they're fast to the phone. Just give them a call. They're local to me and do a lot of good stuff in the community.
  13. Gun guys (and gals)

I'm not sure about everywhere but in my area, you don't need to go to designated shooting areas on BLM land. You can just go out anywhere that's away from roads, water ways, and buildings. Also can't shoot during fire bans... but otherwise just exercise normal safety and shoot against a good...
  14. Gun guys (and gals)

Well you can shoot on this private range with GCS Training Group but it's probably pretty far away. You can setup your own targets on BLM land and shoot as long as you clean up the brass and follow the rules for the area you're in. BLM shooting rules usually consist of being a certain distance...
  15. Diesel cooling options and ideas

Well I just dropped off the S&B hood scoops for return. lol guess I'll put that money towards a different upgrade.
  16. 2023 JTRD Build Thread - "Blue Jeep"

Zero issues. 1. I removed the fuse (fuse 42? or 46? Something like that. It's the same number on the 3.6). 2. I removed the aux battery but left the positive wire in the aux battery box. 3. I removed the negative battery wire from the main battery terminal and wrapped it with electrical tape...
  17. Gun guys (and gals)

My father reloads but I don't have the time and patience so I just buy stuff in bulk. I think there's a point of diminishing return on ports so a massive port might not work as good as some properly placed porting. I found that out when comparing 7 ports to 10 ports.. The 10 ports didn't feel...

    The big ones hurt 😍
  19. Ouray Day 2. Black Bear Pass & Imogene Pass.

Was Imogene open all the way through? We were there about a month ago and they had the Telluride side closed.
  20. 2023 JTRD Build Thread - "Blue Jeep"

Rhino Rack Pioneer Platform on the ARE camper shell. These things were clearance for around 340 bucks (not including the feet) so I jumped on it as a solution (maybe temporary?) to mount my awning, starlink, and whatever else I choose. These happened to show up while I was in the...
