As someone who has pulled a trailer or two in my day, I can tell you I don’t like being anywhere near capacity when I’m towing. Add in no trailer brake controller and I just don’t know that I’d be comfortable trailering what the OP is trying to even with my Maxtow.
So I’m aware that my Maxtow has the two piece fender like Rubicon and overland but it also has an extra little lip that none of the others do. I’ve seen posts that the quake and AAL will work but has anyone actually done it and can provide pictures of what it looks like. I have a local shop here...
I have the 2” Mopar on 37s and I have no issues at full flex. That being said the Mopar lift is probably closer to a 3” lift. I also have a Maxtow which has a slightly different fender flare so not sure how much that helps.
Bottom line is any modifications gives dealer the option to deny a claim and make you fight to prove foreign part is not the cause. I’m familiar with rights according to magnuson-moss warranty act but the burden is still on you to fight it. Advice given to me by one of my brothers who works for...
That was with 35’s they wouldn’t do the 37’s. And it was 8500 plus tax, so I exaggerated a bit but none the less it was way overpriced to not even get what I really wanted
I was advised by a reliable source that as long as the lift is under 2.5” it won’t void the warranty regardless of who installs it. Now if you can get the Mopar done at the dealer for a reasonable price go for it. That’ll cover everything but my dealer wanted almost 10k for lift and wheels and...
I agree, having been a Sheriff’s deputy and Police Officer for over a decade combined I’ve learned that troopers are just Nazi’s when it comes to traffic laws. It’s all they do ‍:headbang:
I was in a similar position, they were offing a little more off the Overland making the price about the same. Having had a JK on 35s I knew the benefits of going with the 4.10s so for me the decision to go with the max tow was easy and I just added leather.’I’ll eventually get the rubicon...
I’ve only been in mine a month, I’m about 39k all in on a sport S max tow with leather addition rolled in to that price. When I looked used it was around there or more. I’ve bought and sold a lot of cars and yes you’ll lose on trade in cause a dealer has to make money but look at replacement...
Yeah a mod here and there that’s cosmetic is normal. I’m gonna switch to the LEDs and as much as I can try and argue they provide better visibility blah blah blah it’s simply cause they look cool.:rock:
I hate them as well, some people have turned Jeeps into what a Honda Civic was in the 2000s. I was an import guy when I was young and couldn’t afford more expensive cars to start with. Then, like now I add mods that benefit performance or functionality in some way.
I go to Crystal Beach often and have even frequented large events like Frogfrest with no issues. It’s just the crowd that’s bad during the recent go topless. As far as the arrests the Sheriff’s Office and DPS put extra staff out in advance with the directive to make arrests.
