Another solution is get with the different Jeep clubs and go elsewhere. Don’t make it public or advertise much outside of the forums. The county side of Surfside or Quintana to name a few are good spots and typically (this year all beaches are packed early) not crazy busy until Memorial Day weekend.
The majority of the trouble is from SXS's and truck owners
I can attest that it’s the truck and SXS folks causing all the issues. I had a group of about 8 other cops that all had sxs and 4wheelers that frequented an off road park in Crosby ( just outside of Houston) it was fine for years then...
I know more people struggling to pay employees and people out of work then people on ventilators. Wrecking our economy out of fear is “idiotic” to me. My family has a couple dollars to our name but servers not working, hospitality staff furloughed and retail workers not being able to work means...
Lmao, and yeah my wife’s a Physician Assistant and I’m a cop so we been busting our behinds the last few months while everyone else chilled and probably were exposed months ago anyway. The wife wanted a vacation so the wife gets a vacation.
I do believe they are 8 lugs and apologies for the picture quality, it was late and it was South Padre so obviously I’d had a beer or two . When we left the next day at 9 it was already gone.
Yeah I agree, as I guy with 37’s on 17” wheels it’s definitely not my style, see my post on snap. I was trying to be polite since I was posting about someone else’s vehicle on here but yes it’s a pavement queen for sure
Saw this build in South Padre this weekend and not my style but impressive build. It was at night in the parking lot of my hotel so couldn’t talk to the guy. They were 28” wheels on 42x14.50s. Makes me wonder how much lift but more importantly what kind of gear and even engine mods to support this.
Yeah the wife and I decided to avoid all that craziness too. Being a cop, that’s the last thing I need to be around. We’re gonna cruise down to Padre for the weekend and just enjoy the beach and if we run into some Jeeps also, even better.
You have good taste my friend, I was in a CLS550 before the Levante. The Levante was just a hand me down cause my wife wanted something new and we had a lease on the Levante so we traded in my CLS that I loved but I was near the end of its warranty and those things are a pain to keep up out of...
I’m plenty happy with it. I’d owned a 09 jk years ago which had the dreaded 3.8 minivan engine. Coupled with the fact I was coming from a Maserati SUV I was worried the Gladiator would be very sluggish. I am surprised even after lift and 37’s it seems to be just fine. I’m sure the 4.10 gears...
I know most have been canceled but was thinking some might still head for the beaches anyway. Just wondering if any Gladiator folks will be out and about.
Yeah I purchased a Sport S max tow two weeks ago and I was at 39 and that was with about 6k off. Could you build a sport with current incentives and no options for 33, sure. But most dealers don’t order very many base sports from my research and if you order now there’s no telling what...
