Assuming you’re going with a wider than stock tire? 11.5-12.5. You have a lesser chance of debasing with the new tire and the narrow stock wheel…. Some refer to a poor man’s beadlock. Should be able to air down to 12psi with no concerns.
Something to think about with the narrow rim and wide tire...
I am a HUGE diesel fan- literally only have diesels in the driveway.
A 10mile per day commute is going to fill the dpf with soot really quickly as the vehicle doesn’t even have time to get warm- let alone burn anything off.
The OP is around the eastern Sierras. If you’re in NV and considering...
$60k, $399 a month is 18.5~ years…..
???
???
Though- these same people are also making $100 a month payments for the wheel/tire they finance, $200 payments for the lift kit and install…
banks have some badass jeeps…. ???
?. I am actually really surprised to see front runners rack is only gutter mounted. I have seen too many jk/jl tops bust the gutter portion of the fiberglass to even consider one.
Your tent overhang does pose unique challenges. What’s the clearance? Would be nice if rhino rack made a low...
Great- now get to sit in my driveway tonight for an hour trying to figure out how to even see what software version we have… ???
is it dated? Or what is the latest software series?
Mark the nut/bolt with a paint pen…. ???
Super extra paranoid after the paint pen…. Buy flexloc nuts. ? $10-12 a piece but hands down best nuts out there.
We have had both…. My wife usually runs with the kids (two boys) and loves the gladiator for the amount of crap she can stick in the back….. hates the steering. Says cool- full size truck steering with no truck capability… lol.
So daily for us wrangler wins…. Have had 3.6’s, 3.0 is the only...
Axles? Just stay light on the skinny pedal and know when to use lockers… also ensure your ready to buy steering (all & a ram) and cromo axles.
Drive crazy and the answer is around $9-10k for a 60….
I do.
Having lived in Ridgecrest for a good time with a jk and visiting Death Valley more than most…. I do.
If you have big tires- re gear……. This will help your trans and coolant.
If you think a radiator is going to help you on highway 190 traveling west to east from Panamint springs towards...
It’s funny to me…. We live in a world of “influencers” and social media hype that really do not paint a clear picture. Before the JL/JT release, I used to have a lot of young people stop and chat about our jeeps and check things out… most leaned heavily on “what shop did the work for you”…...
What’s the intended use of the Jeep??
If you are a Jeep wave, daily driver, hit a dirt road every now and then for a trail ride- cool carry on, look for a take off axle. ???
If, down the road you intend to go off road, find some rocks, maybe get stupid in the desert every now and then…...

Lots of good info in your thread.
I’m a visual person- I like the math/calculator to generalize but resort to photos…. It’s nice to see different lift dynamics at play.
something to consider- sometimes...
How was clearance on axle- pan etc after cutting? It’s raining and pretty crappy this weekend- was hoping to catch a break and pull the springs to see how much clearance is going to be needed….. seems like the were very conservative with minimizing the up travel on the diesel…..
?
pretty sure I found part of my answer on kings/e install sheet.

3” from under side of the spring mount down the joust- cut.
This does still leave me with the question, if I’m going to have to add 1-3/8” to the bump pad.
opinions...
I have recently learned that the jounce tubes on diesel, 392, and XR are 1-3/8" longer than v6 and 2.0t models (JL&JT)
This definitely explains the crazy short up travel…. I am curious though, has anyone pulled the springs before a lift and articulated to verify how much bump is actually...

$465- option one. Rebuild, drill and tap.
This opens the door for down the road picking up lines, cooler, and ram. (6.75” for the JT according to PSC my opinion- redneck ram box, and psc for everything else….)
At...
