Got ya. They are probably using vhf radios with repeaters like police do.
I get solid 3 mile urban range out of my handheld (not bubble pack but real 5 watt hand held).
more if flat and higher less in valleys hunting etc.
As said Gmrs is very line of sight dependent.
7 miles is a long way for any hand held type unit. CB is limited to 2 watt. Gmrs handheld is 5. To give you reference.
7 miles is well beyond horizon line of sight fir 2 6’ tall people (3 is line of site).
That said. I can easily talk 20 miles away...
Yes def get GMRS. I have a Midland MXT. Like others noted no space is taken up with one. The head fits under the dash in many spots. I have mine left of the glove box as mentioned.
You can get a kit from Cool Tech, or wait for the 50 wat 575 version later in the summer. 50 vs 15 is an...
None due to the forced induction that I know of. I've seen on the JK forum some issues but those were 4 wheeling related stuff and had a FI set up. Not sure one or the other had anything to do with did the damage IE you 4 wheel enough hard enough you'll break things eventualy.

I measured mine over longer trips. Set mileage a to zero at fuel stop. Set my Gaia to a trip record and drove to the next fuel stop.
Truck 188.3
GPS 188.51

Checked it on the trip back.
Truck 189.7

Chalk them, drive around the block, or not even that far. Every tire wheel combo will be different.
I rub my 285/75r17 on factory rims at 35 cold. Probably need to recheck it may be better 32-33 range.
When warm they go up 3-4psi
Recalls are recalls, there are two out for mine, meh so what.
The visor is a know issue, week spot.
As for the wheel, probably a faulty color ring (it connects the moving wheel and all it's stuff to stationary column), parts fail. What a warranty is for.
You have 2 parts on a 1000+ part...
In this kind of crud, 5-8" of packed snow. TC is great, so is selec-trac as there is snow and bare spots all over, with the freeways being clear here (plowed).
As noted for normal driving, leave it on. If your in deep snow there are times to leave it on.
99% of the time it stays on.
Needs 37"!
You'rs looks good, I think another 1" lift and it starts to look like it needs bigger shoes. All imho, every one has there own thing.
