This is Bandit, a stray mutt that got hit by a car and suckered us into taking him in. He immediately took-over the house.
He likes the Jeep, naps, treats, belly rubs, and destroying his toys.
It's an OK motor, it has its issues, leaking oil filter housings, the 3-6 tick, and the occasional poor soul that experiences the dreaded valve-train failure.
I had to get mine warrantied for a leaking valve cover gasket, one of the more common failures (but failures in general are somewhat...
Bought the fender badges on ebay, this store had them for $50 bucks for both instead of $160. Mopar part numbers, so I'm pretty sure they're real.
And I ordered the tailgate badge from Distinction Applied, just had to put a note for the center color to be the stock Rubicon Grey, matte finish...
Huh, didn't notice that! We'll shoot, guess I'm going to have to bust out the solder. Just wish it was still on my workbench instead of the truck. ?
The reason I got a good price on it was I bought it used, paid $400 bucks ?. Sometimes that's just what happens I guess, I didn't catch that on...
Baja makes some really good lights. Although I'm wondering if their rated output might be TOO much for fogs, might just end up with more light reflected back at me in fog/dust instead of better penetration.
'
I will admit I'm liking Diodes options because they have 3 different power outputs...
Hey ya'll, back again for the collective wisdom of the forum. So any recommendations for a 3 inch cube light in a fog pattern?
I'm currently working on improving the lighting setup for my JT. One thing I've never really liked about my truck are the set of LED cube lights that came with my...
Thanks. Yeah emblems are a bit more involved then you would think, especially the tailgate. I went to work on that one when I did my tailgate wrap about a week ago. Fishing line and gloves to slowly saw through the adhesive behind the badge, and 3M adhesive remover set to soak on the leftover...
Today's theme was 20 questions projects. I fixed my broken Rugged Ridge Snorkel with some JB weld and a Popsicle stick. I added my 392 Gold badges and tailgate emblems that match all my bronze accents. And I put some dust caps on the chrome door locks.
Little things to bring the truck...
I'm very guilty of using the drive-thru washes on my Jeep.
BUT.... I bought mine used and the paint already had drive through swirl marks from auto washes from the first owner in Minnesota. The desert pinstripes that I've added from the mesquite tree's that populate our southwest desert trails...
Gonna dust off this old thread, and pick up where I left off.
While I've been (severely!) slacking on updating this, I DID take photos of almost everything I've done to the truck so far. So now I've got 3! years worth of pictures and posts to go through. I'm thinking once a week to post here...
Not an exact match, but I've had both the chopped fender kit and the stand alone lights, so this still applies. They use the same lights for both sets.
This is my set of Rugged Ridge LED Fender lights after 2 years of sitting outside in the southwest desert sun, that's over 600 days of...
Sorry! I've been neglecting my posts to my build thread, luckily I took photos of nearly everything I've done.
I'll start posting here again soon, gonna try and go through photos Friday to add to this.
So what I'm seeing is that the 68240445 is the sport transfer 2.73:1 for my automatic JT.
The 68240441 is the Rubicon case for an automatic, 2.0 and 3.6 Gas, but it's for a JL.
Not 100% sure it will work on a JT, about 80% confident.
While I can't speak for everyone, I'll throw in my 2 cents.
I'm a younger guy (still in my 20's), and for me personally, it's not that I don't understand how mechanical things work, or a lack of mechanical experience. I feel pretty damn comfortable in both those areas.
It's the fact that I'm...
I was originally going to just message Benny @AllMoparParts.com , but I figured I may as well post this here so that the info is accessible to everyone. So I'm just going to copy paste my original message, hopefully these part numbers are useful.
If anyone already happens to know this, please...
