Something like this with a small, conventional 4-banger and a small price tag would be absolutely perfect as a daily driver while the Gladiator sleeps in the garage during the week. But, that's not what this is. If it was, they'd sell a kabillion of them.
Noticed today. It's VERY hard to the touch. 2,500 miles on a 2023 garage kept Sport MaxTow. I don't think it was there on last wash. No signs on any other hinges. What do you think?
Congratulations - looks fantastic.
And on the seats topic...I don't understand why power seats are such a big deal to people. Seriously, how often do you adjust your seat? I've had my Gladiator for six months now and I've adjusted it once - the day I got it. My daily driver Cadillac with...
Man I'm not ever taking mine off. I absolutely cannot believe that that thing doesn't leak a drop - and I mean at highway speeds in severe downpours, at low speeds in tropical storms, under serious wind driven rain, etc.... I don't think I'll get that lucky twice - so it's staying put.
BTW...
I'm buying them for my hydro blue right when they're back in stock. There were supposed to be in stock in September, then October, then November, and now they're saying January.
It'll say it clearly on the window sticker. Also look for the extra little lip on the fender flares. Basically the package includes:
Heavy duty cooling system (no idea what that means)
Wide-track axles
4.10 rear
Larger alternator
Limited slip rear
A zoomable back-up camera
Hitch receiver and...
I've got a late 80's / early 90's Sears catalog of nothing but truck / Jeep accessories. Options sure were limited back then. (I casually collect old catalogs, magazines, brochures, etc.)
Haha around here it's the opposite. With the rainy, humid, too damn hot summer giving way towards 70's and 80's and clear skies with low humidity, we are just coming into our top down / doors off, convertible and motorcycle season.
I see no reason to be excited by an unproven, more complex engine that runs at higher pressures and temps - especially when the current offering is plenty adequate.
Yeah I'm guessing I'll Home Depot it myself. I might also make some hooks (similar to what people use to hang wreaths and whatnot from residential doors) to hang off the bed rail and then fashion some straps to them.
I just ordered 42" traction boards which I'd like to store against the rear bed wall. I have a few ideas on how to do it, but I was wondering if anyone who is already doing this has suggestions. I have a plastic drop-in bedliner BTW.
I've seen them around. For that money, I'd go for a Yamaha TW200. But, I've owned two in the past and I might be a little biased because I loved the TW200.
