Mine measured 42" to the top of the bed liner on the thickest part of the tailgate. I did the install on my driveway but had to pull into the road to get it flat to ensure it worked....I was nervous about those 3 inches! :CWL:
No need. Works perfectly!
Pics of install to follow. Notes: 1)...
Does the JTRD burn oil?
I've only had one diesel in the past and the only vehicle that I've carried spare oil was my 82 Camaro that leaked so much I rarely changed the oil. It changed itself.
Mine is supposed to arrive Tuesday, so may be installed by the end of the week. Will take pics if I get it installed by the weekend, as I'm on travel after...so wouldn't be until May.
For reference, I currently have the Hooke Offroad sliders and they do their job. However, I think the RSE step/sliders will save my knees and hips in the long run. :CWL:
These will be for sale when I receive the RSE units...
I have 37s and just measured driveway to top of tailgate at 42", leaving 3" to spare. Depending on if your 40s are true...you may be at the limit at 45".
Heavy duty one is on the Amazon page:
Item Weight
15.4 Pounds
Great looking JTR! Just pulled the trigger on the RSE and armor. Good news is that they offer a Military/Veteran discount of 10%. ....basically free shipping. :)
Thanks! Shame they don't offer the heavy duty one with a grab handle, but I'm sure one can be constructed...or keep a walking stick in the bed. ...off to look for that reference that was referenced. ;)
*EDIT* Found it. Post 53.
The video was about a hybrid. I stated my opinion, nothing more....didn't bring up politics or hate and you immediately jumped to that conclusion. I am not a proponent of EVs...don't care if you are...and you won't find me on that section of the forum. For all sakes, let it lie.
I am sorry I...
Not sure how you jumped to that conclusion, if you're referring to my post.
No worries here. I simply posted my opinion on the OP video, as I find Jeep EVs a funny concept. You replied with a picture. I laughed. No hate or politics involved in either post that I know of....
This thread...
RSE has my vote too...well....they'll soon have my money! :CWL:
After a couple trips after the lift, my knees and shoulders (and girlfriend) say that I need them.
So wasted some dough on my current sliders, but they were worth every penny in body insurance so far.
and Zoom in....
Those are the ones that I am looking at....did you install? Looks intimidating with all the bits and bobs...sensors and what not.
Also did you get the lights?
Thanks! It's not my first offroader, but my first Jeep. Loving it so far! Went down the road of quads and a UTV. Nice being street legal again to explore the state parks!
About to dump the current sliders and go to the electric step option.
