Spacers work, just don't buy cheap parts store spacers or discount amazon ones from china. I recall some threads about spacers and good brands/designs to look for.

Went you guys say Oil cooler, are you talking about the heat exchanger down by the oil pan drivers side of the engine? Are you saying that whole assembly heat exchanger and oil filter housing has o-rings in it to seal against the block and those fail?

Just use the original oil that came with the truck from the factory, don't change it cause you risk upsetting the warranty. .
